His salary means we’ll probably have to settle for bringing back Amrabat or go for Sander Berge, instead of getting a real top level CM.

As said before, optimism of 3 weeks ago has quickly turned to dread. Basically need at least 2 of Rashford, Mount, Garnacho, Hojlund, Zirkzee, Sancho or Amad to have a “Salah-like season”, and nothing suggests any of them are capable of that.
