Found out there was a rap battle between Drake and Kendrick Lamar a few months back. Heard the songs and got caught up :eek:

Also heard the Melle Mel one to Eminem a year back for the first time. <5>

Most of the other things you mention are a bit hard to find in my market. I wish I had fair access to Springbank, Longrow, Kilkerran and Speyburn, but alas

I decided to pass on the Loch Gorm and got the Senaig instead a few months back. Been working through my bucket list of the top value buys.

The 6 months or so I also crossed off Arran 10, Benriach 12, Glencadam 10 and Ledaig Riojas.

The Ledaig Riojas has that combination of wine cask and peat but half the price of Loch Gorm in my market.

How did you like the Benriach 12? Haven't tried anything by them so far.

So IMO you have made the right decision with Sanaig hehe. :)

On another note, I finally got the Classic Laddie for really cheap. Tasted it yesterday, but only a dram. I really liked it, that's a proper standard, though I found it a lot better when adding a little water. The mix of fruity and barley like notes are pretty good, I like that it's not straight bourbon cask, but also has a lot of other stuff mixed in, even if it's not that much.

Melle Mel vs Eminem? Wow. Gotta check that out after work. I guess Em won.

MC Hammer tried going after Jay-Z many years ago...

I dream of a MGK battle vs Busta Rhymes. Busta by murder (bustas last album is the worst album released in any genre ever though. Don't look it up)

Glad you liked it. I found it a good value, and it was the first time I had a spirit that barley forward. When I got it, it was about 40% off, hard to beat.

Re Benriach 12, it has the specs and has port, bourbon and sherry cask influences. Despite all the cask play it isnt overly busy. For me the nose is sultanas and maple. The palate is dominated with the sherry. It's solid, decent buy if on sale
