Think Paramount will be okay with new owners. They have deep pockets and seem shrewd. I think they are willing to spend for some UFC fights but very limited to a few events.

I think few saw this coming re: ALL rights to Paramount, especially at that price. Really makes you wonder what went on with the Ellison / Trump / Dana connection considering Trump held the Skydance purchase of Paramount approval, until he got what he wanted out of them. Really wild stuff, if it were in a TV series people would say its too on the nose.

You quickly realized how they could fake the payment systems and the numbers of viewers.

The entire sale of the UFC for billions was genius. For reasons most fans failed to comprehend. The sheer luck of Dana White is unreal. Guy slapped his wife in public and created a slap league simultaneously... Almost as if it was a god damn promo.

When i worked in cable thirty years ago, it was obvious as hell PPV was how they (the business) laundered money. Faking numbers and payments was the name of the game. Not much difference from your father hackin the dish. What an era.
