Annual pay lncreases by six months to April 1st from the normal October date. So bring forward something they were already going to do. Increase pension fund = funding a pre-existing commitment

I can't blame them. People who want to gobble nuts will treat it like the most amazing thing ever. A one time $200 bonus is better than nothing but not by much. If you're making $20k/yr, it's 1% on your salary...once. And next year when the public's attention has moved on, there will be no bonuses, just like there weren't any last year.

I'll try not to be a skeptic but people slurped the WalMart bonus without pointing out that almost no one got $1000 because not that many people had been there 20 years. And then they conveniently glossed over WalMart shutting stores and firing thousands of people. As if paying some people $200 one time outweighs taking away $20k/year jobs from other people.

In a span of two weeks:
10,000 layoffs nationwide in Sam's closures
1,000 layoffs in California
500 layoffs in Arkansas

And this is despite their stock being up the past three months and receiving a windfall in the recent tax bill.

I've actually really enjoyed a lot of @SBJJ posts this month... Weird.

This thread inspires hate and is very divisive. TS needs a ban or atleast put on ghost mode for 1 (one) month to think about the consequences of his actions, IMO.
