Pot Smoking Neighbor

My downstairs neighbor is a cool guy, always friendly, would help if you needed it etc. He also smokes a lot of weed. I don't care that he smokes weed, I have plenty of friends that smoke as well. But, when I leave my windows open as I like to do on a cool day, my entire apartment starts to reek of weed.

It smells like a skunks ass at this very moment. Now I'm sure there are some pot smokers here who occasionally have guest over that might, like myself, have an aversion to the smell. Is there any product or strategy you use to cover up the smell?

If it were me smelling like a skunk, I'd assume I wouldn't even notice the smell.

You could staple a bunch of those scented dryer sheets everywhere in your apartment. A buddy I knew used to smoke at his parents and he would open his window, and exhale thru a dryer sheet wrapped around the end of a empty toilet paper roll with an elastic, and the exhale would smell like the scented dryer sheet.

Also if you do this you will keep flies away. Flies hate the chemicals / scent of them. When I go camping I hang some in and around my tent.

Seriously though, is it because his smoke is coming in your windows when you open them, or opening your windows draws it up through the floor?

This may be way too rational a thought for Mayberry but have you tried closing your windows?
