The material is very easy to handle. One wipe and it's as good as new. I had one in blue.

I have the same Top Ten headgear with the protected cheek thingy. Mine is black. Very nice and it fits great.

Fight Shop recently had a good deal going on Sandee mitts, think they were half price but not sure if that's still running.

I got a pair of Sandee curved mitts, not that taken by them, shots still come through and keep having to readjust them during rounds..

ah thats disappointing to hear, Sandee usually gets spoken of highly although then again they seem to have a lot of marketing behind them to explain that

Thing is,I compare everything focus mitt wise to my KO mitts and I love those with a passion and I have not found anything comparable to them.:icon_cry2

The RDX s are nice enough but leery about how they will hold up long term,PRO-MMA mitts were lightweight and flyaway, the guy holding them did half a round with me on them, went "Hang on...." took them off and put the KOs on....lol...

I really want to have a go with the R2C ones but need to get some money together again to get them sent over...I have a mate coming over here next year from the USA,he may be bringing me some gear with him that he doesn't know as yet...

look good! cheers:) so are you saying that bad boy midi gloves aren't any good??

no sorry I shouldve been clearer, dont have any experience with them or Bad Boy, just felt like offering an alternative because nobody replied to your thread about them :) whatever you get let us know if it's any good

ok, cheers, and i might look at RDX cos i have some of their thai pads and they are great!

i have to say i haven't had many other thai pads to compare them to but i have had them for about 8 months and so far they are great! the padding is on the hard side but i prefer that for kicks :)

How long have they lasted and how much use have they had please?

I've got a pair of the RDX ones never really got on with them to the point that I ended up buying some top king ones (which are awesome). To the point that I am going to put them on ebay when I get chance as I never used them much so they are in good nick and now I have the top kings am never planning to use them again.

I found them a bit big and unwieldy if you try and mix punches in with the kicks, that said it might just be me not being a very good pad man. The padding and the rest was good enough just the size and shape I didn't like

Hey mooserverte,
How would you rate the foam/padding on your Superfight 3000 point fighting gloves to your Top Ten 10oz boxing gloves?
Do they have the same amount of foam over the knuckles?

taekwondo training :)

the point sparring gloves have a very different feel! they don't have a grip bar but are still the best point gloves i have ever worn because they easily make a fist. the padding in the point gloves is a lot more over the knuckles whereas the 10oz gloves have a lot up the back of the glove aswell and it also weighs 7oz instead of 10oz. this means that the 10oz gloves are great for blocking kicks.the point gloves are naturally slightly more open aswell (not in a fist). the padding in the point gloves is also slightly softer (doesn't hurt the person that you are punching) but obviously it has less protection for the wearer ( it is open palm and has slightly less wrist support) for WAKO kickboxing or ITF taekwondo, if you want a light glove then go for the point gloves. i use the warrior 10oz for training, bag/pad work and light sparring and the point gloves for competition. the padding in the point gloves is amazingly nice, and compared to other open hand gloves, it feels amazing:) top ten make the best gloves in my opinion. even though i say that the point gloves have softer padding (and leather) for full contact sparring the 10o are better.

Thanks for the comparison pics mooserverte.
Couple of more questions if you don't mind.
-What's the circumference of your hands, I noticed you have a S/M in the point gloves.
-Which gloves would you prefer to get hit with in the nose at light/medium sparring? I'm assuming the boxing gloves would be the preferred one for medium/hard.

I'm asking because I have a similar 10oz Top Ten boxing gloves, they're great, and I use them for light/technical sparring, but have been debating on getting the point gloves primarily so it'll be easier to throw non boxing type punches (backfist, ridgehands, etc.), but not at the risk of hurting my sparring partner if they don't have enough padding over the knuckles.

Thanks again for your responses!

i have very small hands. i would suggest that you go on the top ten website for sizings. and i would probably prefer to be hit with the point gloves at light contact. the point gloves would definitely be better than the 10oz gloves for getting hit with a backfist due to the foam being softer. you could try ridge hands but remember that it is in a fist shape naturally not an open hand ( like karate mitts). although i don't think that ridge hands are too important in sparring so, its up to you. but for light contact, the point gloves are very good, however as the contact goes up, there is more chance of knuckles going through than in the 10oz. as i said i have very small hands so i would guess that you should probably want the m/L

hey mooserverte how do you like that lonsdale headgear and bag gloves? been looking at their gear lately just haven't made the leap on getting some or not. although i will be getting their boxing shoes sometime tonight

Thanks for the info man. I think I'll pull the trigger on some top ten point gloves just for the hell of if.
