Awesome pic Mino! I was thinking about getting those Ringside Air Mitts soon! Love those gloves from Muhammad as well, I can't wait to put in a few orders soon!

I'm gonna have to put a pic of my newer gear soon, got a pair of 16oz Grant's on eBay earlier for $75, they looked to be in great condition so I'm pretty pumped to get em (they looked like an older pair too!)

U look cool in the pic w/ the headgear Minow.

Got a pair of 16oz boons in red to replace the pair I sold a while back. All new logo on the gloves looks great! Too bad I will have to return them because the hand compartment is waaaay too tight. Nothing like the ones I had before. Pretty disappointed to say the least, I was really looking forward to using them.

Interesting. All I have is old logo brown Boons and love them. So if I step to the new logo Boons.....I should expect a tighter fit?

Task, They do come snug but You can definitely break them in. I put my wraps on and started hitting the bag with them when I first got them and they loosened up quickly. Now they fit my hands perfectly. Mines are also 16oz. If you can break in a pair of Top Kings then you shouldn't have a problem breaking in the boons.

True. Its been so long I don't remember how snug my brown Boons were....lol. I gotta hit up that ebay seller you told me about......nice prices:)

Cleto Reyes hook and loop training gloves. I've got the same color and everything. Gorgeous glove. The knuckle padding is lacking, as I hear is the case with all Reyes gloves, but it does pay off in power. The wrist support is spectacular for a hook and loop glove. Feels like the glove is an extension of your arm when wearing them.

Everlast USA Headgear. Great fit, stays put, good field of vision.

Asics Split Second 9 wrestling shoe. Split sole offers great flexibility. Lightweight, breathable. Large pivot point on the sole. Wrestling shoes make the best boxing shoes IMO.

Just some semi recent purchases! Got the Grant's off eBay for $60 (they say Brown Pride over the logo but I'm gonna cover it with tape lol)
Also picked up 3 more pairs of the IMF gloves for loaners

Ah, so you're the ****er who outbid me haha.

You got a good deal! I had the lace-up versions, found them very comfortable.

Topboxer Custom Boots

Again I've only had these a week or two. Comfortable, they look very good too for what that's worth. Can't comment on durability yet. They feel very similar to the Adidas Tygun IIs in particular, but to the Tygun I as well. Good ankle support and grip. Both boots are about 12oz.

Hi Minowa, looking over old threads, and I see you got a pair of Topboxer custom boots? What

There was a manufacturing error with my boots that means the sole is going to be run through more quickly, but Topboxer identified the issue and offered to send out another pair free once these are finished. With that aside, they pretty much feel just like Adidas Tygun I/IIs to me. I've only ever owned Lonsdale boots, and Adidas boots before, and I found these and the Adidas to be more comfortable than the Lonsdale ones which broke down fairly quickly in comparison to the Adidas.

The type of boot you're asking about is very different from anything I've used so I can't really comment, and is typically more expensive, though I'd guess it'd be the standard $150 from Muhammad. I will say though that if you regularly follow the private listings put up for boxing on ebay then it's pretty easy to snatch up good/new condition boots at cheap prices.

Thanks for that. Yeah, I think I'll keep an eye on ebay for a while, might get a bargain.
I have no problem spending good money on gloves, mouthguards and headgear - it pays to protect yourself in this game. So boots are down the priority list with me really.

I agree, I dont think boots are necessarily the most important piece of kit in terms of justifying a high expense. I remember Carl Froch fighting in Lonsdale cyclone boots and Lonsdale boots were used by a fair number of fighters at the recent Olympics too.
