Im jealous of all you talented bastards. If only I'd pursued my dreams...

Art is a beautiful thing. But, as a career it's no fun (or rather, no fun being broke).

Better off learning the calculus's and physics and shit.

BTW, I have really enjoyed this thread. Some of you guys are phenomenal. I would go through and compliment all the ones that "WOW"'d me, but I don't have time. But thanks for sharing!

have you done anomander rake and silchas ruin yet?

I haven't yet. Im trying to do templates for each races before actual notable characters. I screwed up with my Caladan Brood & I'm planning to do a Barghast then redo Caladan.

sweet,i really wanna see those when your done.

I have no knowledge of the source that these are based on, so maybe there is something important I'm missing, but I've gotta ask: what's up with the anatomy in this picture? It's really weird, to the point I can't even wrap my head around it. Try and draw a skeleton for that figure and you get something completely bizarre that, frankly, makes no sense.

EDIT: Oh, and since I'm being critical I should post something of my own for critique, just to be fair. This is a character design I did for a tabletop RPG a friend was organizing. The character is a frog person (they're called Grippli) patterned after the Pickerel Frog. He's a cleric who, after growing up in a swamp, worships death. But not like a necromancer, rather its an appreciation that without death the living would not be able to prosper.

Sweet drawing man! Reminds me of chrono trigger. & to answer tour question: the forkrul assail have extra joints in their limbs & an extra "hip joint" in their chest. They are capable of walking on all fours aside from being bipeds. Also, personally, i like that drawing compared to the others & im not surprised that it received less appreciations on behance because they probably think i suck at anatomy. Also, i dont sketch & go straight to flash. I also hate using my wacon. 85% i just use the mouse.

Ok, if they are supposed to have that sort of whacky anatomy then the picture makes much more sense. Trying to look at it from a more standard humanoid body-plan makes me go cross-eyed :icon_lol:

Readers might recognize it instantly, but yeah, i had a hard time conceptualizing & making it do a dynamic pose.

Aside from the unavoidable spheres or circles, I'm trying to create drawings with straight lines which is easier for me. some curve lines there are actually made up of straight lines.
