Post the darkest songs that you know

This song is pretty dark when you realize it's about 9/11

Video games have very dark music if you know where to look. Especially cause it helps put the music in context.

This to me has always been one of the darkest tracks I've ever heard. Especially if you get the subject matter and context of when it's played in the game. It has no lyrics but it can definitely put you in a dark frame of mind hearing this.

This shit always put me on edge too.

Unsettling.

Actual songs? These are creepy and dark.

Go check out the Witch House thread in The Jukebox sub-forum for more like that.

When I saw Rob Zombie in concert and he played this song, I felt like going to church the next morning.

And one of the heaviest songs I've heard not written by Slayer, A7X's 'God Hates Us All.'

Seems like the heaviest songs are the ones that start off soft, and then BAM! EXTREME HEAVINESS!

Any excuse to post some Steven Wilson..

<[analyzed}>

Falling from the sky I lost the track of time
An image of my life flashes in my eyes
I'm straining every muscle for my contact with fate
I could never dream my life would end now

Cross my heart, hope not to die now
Fade to black this time and this moment
I can't breath, bracing myself now
Impending doom I'm about to die

Frontal Impact, feel like going nowhere
World is turning upside down on me
Frontal Impact, silence filling the air
Now I've lost completely my control
Frontal Impact, feel like going nowhere
Cross my fingers and I start to pray
Frontal Impact, silence filling the air
Seems I'm watching just my self that dies

I just wanna breath I'm choking from the feeling
I don't know if I have crossed the line now
Darkness everywhere but I can feel the pain now
I could never want the end of my life

ik a litany of metal tracks that are way darker, but this popped into my head first

Not the darkest, but after hearing it for the first time in ages (and as an adult), the lyrics are pretty fucked up.

Basically a ballad to domestic abuse and pimping.

Another one for the Dark Drum and Bass techstep heads. God i miss LSD

Joke apart if we are on Manson stuff ...

Stuff that gets to me is always old blues / rock songs. Plus some french stuff.

I love Rob Zombie. I bet if I sifted through all his material back to the White Zombie days I could come up with 10+ songs that could make this thread.
Great song choice too.
