Possible Sasquatch encounter happened last night.

I don’t have any proof as to what threw the rocks, I just know that they were thrown. Based on the difficult terrain, the fact that I hadn’t heard anyone traipsing through the leaves above the complete quiet of the lake, and the size of the rocks, I simply had trouble accepting that some red neck had been waiting in that spot for two hours. I fished the area very slowly, so I was never further than fifty yards away from the spot where this happened, spending most of my time on a point not far from that area.

I don’t expect anyone to simply take me on my word for this. But it happened all the same.
I go to a quite remote spot myself to fish. One time I had a black bear walk maybe 10 feet away from me down the slope then swim across the river. I didn't flinch or worry or anything. I DO pack a knife, but that is it. I am used to being around dangerous animals in the outdoors. And I am aware when things aren't right. IF you were a cop for 18 years, then you got the same intuition I do, and some strange shit was going down.

Yeah, I am used to being around dangerous animals of the human variety. I have never had a single incident in 30 some years of fishing where anything remotely scary happened.

I've had a few experiences with unexplainable events and I'm of the same opinion that I all I know is what I've experienced and don't expect anyone to believe.

One of my jobs while in university was a grave yard grounds keeper. I also worked in a treatment centre that used to be an old hospital. So I've had some odd things happen.

I'd love to live in sasquatch country, man. Love all that stuff. If I ever go back to the USA I'd like to go the Pacific Northwest forest areas for a camping trip, I'd be like a pig in shit.

Just came across one of the funniest articles I've ever read hahaha!

MANZANITA, OR — George Henderson is a self-proclaimed professional Bigfoot hunter and has killed a real Bigfoot in Oregon. According to Henderson, this isn’t the first Bigfoot he has caught and killed either.

Although we have not confirmed details, we are not surprised to learn the news as the Beaver State is home to the most Bigfoot sightings in the country. Our team at That Oregon Life is currently in transit from Portland, Eugene, and Salem to Manzanita, Oregon, to investigate for ourselves. Hopefully, we can uncover the truth to this story and get a piece of the action before the FBI takes over.

“Some may find this unbelievable but the truth is Bigfoot is a huge problem,” he wrote online. “I know this post will cause some backlash from the Bigfoot skeptics, but by putting the truth out there and not hiding we can educate some folks. The reality is Bigfoot has been right under our nose this whole time, kidnapping our most beautiful women — luring the unsuspecting ladies off hiking trails everywhere with their irresistible scent of rotten fish and fresh, steaming horse shit. According to Henderson, Bigfoot prefers to hold his women hostage in caves.

In an interview, Henderson said he sets up traps near his home in Wild Rose, a small town in central Wisconsin, to catch raccoons and other small animals to sell on the fur market. But sometimes, he said, he inadvertently catches Bigfoot.

Those are the beasts he shoots and kills.

“I take the opportunity to remove them,” Henderson said, adding that he gets “no enjoyment out of killing a Bigfoot. It sucks, Bigfoot is actually an OK dude once you get to know him. He especially loves women in Oregon, and the Beaver State’s fine selection of microbreweries.”

Or so he says. Henderson, who claims to have killed 10 creatures last year in the United States, plans on taking them on tour around the world, charging $100 for people to see it.

Henderson reportedly kills them with classic hunting techniques. After hearing of a hairy beast on the Oregon Coast, Henderson bought ribs from a local Walmart and hung them in the cave. According to Henderson, the Bigfoot was lured into the cave, and he was able to chase and hang the creature. Shortly thereafter, Bigfoot reportedly was able to escape from the cave, where Henderson finished him off with an AR15 as Bigfoot ran on the Manzanita Beach.

“I shot it, and now I’m proving it to the world. Bigfoot is real and he’s a bad mother trucker,” Henderson told That Oregon Life.
Lol at hanging the bigfoot with a noose in the cave <45>

That hunter used an AR15???

Weapon of War, not hunting.
Make no mistake, and let's be clear, we are at war with this being. It's a cold war, sure, but with the occasional Squamishes popping off when the creature engages in terrorist activities to induce fear among our people.

Squatch pioneered gorilla tactics, which were then culturally appropriated by guerillas.

IMO ARs are appropriate for self defense against this threat, and it would be nice if terrorized skier-brahs like in the video above (just listen to the fear in their voices and look at the panic in their faces) would have a 2.5th amendment on their side which would guarantee free javelin missiles too all extreme sports enthusiasts who put their lives on the line behind enemy lines to carve out the best lines.

"Just bleed the fif"

*edit*
Joking aside the link is to a 2014 YT video that is a couple minutes long and shows a brown hairy biped waaay far away in the BC mountains climbing up a snowy crest pretty fast and it's kinda awesome

I am not what you would call a believer in the stories that people tell about Sasquatch encounters. However, last night, I had an experience that has left me without explanation. I was fishing at a very remote location until the onset of darkness forced me to call it quits. I should have left about twenty minutes before I did due to rugged terrain to get back to my car. As I was walking, I heard what I assumed to be an owl. I stoped for a moment to throw a few more casts when there was a very loud splash. I knew right away it wasn’t a fish, and assuming that something fell off of the steep hillside, I started to continue the trek back. At that point, there was a large rock the size of a basketball that landed in the water about ten feet behind me. I actually saw the rock flying through the air and felt the splash hit my legs. I began to move more quickly when another rock hit in front of me. At this point, I yelled “ok, fucking stop that shit, I am leaving!” There was another splash, this time about fifteen feet out in the lake from where I was quickly walking. At that point, I began to move as quickly as I could, saying “come on, damn it, you want me to have a heart attack?” The terrain is very difficult to navigate in the light, with me often falling down or stepping into the lake. I called my wife to tell her what was happening in case one of those rocks hit me. I told her to send help if I did not call her in ten minutes.

There was another splash and I began to run, falling down several times, and getting cuts all over my face and neck from jagger bushes and tree branches. As I got closer to my car, I heard rustling from the hill above me and I got my car keys out and hit the panic alarm. There was one final splash behind me, then I sprinted to my car, exhausted and breathing heavily with my heart racing. I got in my car and took off.

This is a wildlife area and open to the public, but it gets little pressure. I don’t completely rule out human causes of what I can only describe as an attack, but that hillside is mostly rock and almost impossible terrain to easily move through, if at all. I didn’t smell anything odd, but my mind went back to the hooting I had heard. I also am aware that people reporting Sasquatch encounters have stated that they had rocks thrown at them. I don’t know that I will report this, though I think i should. Had I been armed, i would have had my gun out and would have fired shots to end the attack.

I have never, in my adult life, been so scared and I have been shot at, and have gone hand to hand with several knife wielding subjects during my seventeen years as a police officer.

I don’t expect my profession to lend much credibility, however, please trust my experience and training to accept the danger I perceived and my knowledge of the terrain surrounding that lake-I have been fishing there two to three times per week for the last three weeks.

All I know for sure is that the rocks were being thrown, and based on their size, it would be difficult to throw rocks of that size as hard and far as they were being launched. Like I said, I don’t completely rule out human causes, but I am like 85% sure it was not a person trying to scare, or kill me. I should also mention that due to the fallen leaves, any movement on that hillside would have made enough noise that i would have heard it. Hell, even chipmunks on the hill make tons of noise.

I have considered returning in daylight to see if I could reach the area that I believe the rocks were being thrown from, but I have my doubts of being able to reach that area-though I would like to look for tracks or some other sign of the culprit.

I do intend to go back to that lake, but not until spring and not without being armed. However, I will not walk through bank and plan to purchase a fishing kayak. Until that moment, I was upset that I had been skunked for the second time in a week.
That’s a scary story and I have no explanation. Glad you made it out ok.

what is really crazy is that two weeks later, I am trying to look at this from afar and how will I feel about it in the future. I find that I am still a skeptic after all this, I just couldn’t explain some of what happened. I guess maybe a hunter had been already there when I started fishing?
Still, hands down the most scared I have ever been. I laughed when we got shot at. Of course, i woke up the next week short of breath, but I felt like I was trained for that. How do you train for this?

I still say you try to venture where the rocks were coming from with a posse. Preferably armed with pitchforks and torches.

You can’t train for this. Would you consider going back and taking a look around? For real, if you do, consider wearing a GoPro.

Or you just had a Sasquatch encounter, like thousands of other earth humans have. It's only messing with your head because you've been conditioned to think the phenomena is complete nonsense.

I hope he does too but what are the chances the same animal would be there?

I will go back. In the spring. Fishing is done for year.

I am just trying to look at this as logically as possible. Either I had an encounter with some assholes I didn’t know were there in a hard to reach area in an unpopulated area, or I had an encounter with an animal that there is no physical dna evidence for.

neither makes sense to me. It just doesn’t feel right to say with confidence, that I had a Sasquatch encounter.
