Some people get too invested.

I don't think it's cheesy at all. I think I'm gonna phone a friend and call in an expert

@BisexualMMA

In my opinion, Scarface is much better as a serious film than it gets credit for. I think it should have been up for a number of Oscars...acting (Pacino and Loggia at a minimum), directing, score, best film.

I thought the entire movie was serious except maybe when they're at the pool trying to pick up chicks. I can't think of too many films in 83 that are better than Scarface. But the 80s screwed over a lot of excellent films (Raiders, ET, Terminator)

I'd have given Scarface best picture. It had some pretty good competition with Return of the Jedi, Terms of Endearment, Risky Business and some decent movies that have been forgotten like Tender Mercies, The Dresser, Educating Rita, The Right Stuff, WarGames, etc. But I probably have Scarface edging out Terms of Endearment.

For me:

1. Scarface
2. Risky Business
3. The Outsiders

I just got on the risky biz bandwagon but I would argue it's one of the best high school movies of the 80s. Tom Cruise also performs the best stunt of his career in it.

Yeah I would have it top five for that genre.

Those tatas were not fake when she was in Roadhouse. Any connoisseur can see that. She had them done later in life. She is also the same gal that beat the shit out of Keanu in the bathroom scene in Point Break.
You're talking about the big boss' woman, not the tittie bar "squirt 'em" stripper. The one who winked at the old mentor after he pulled an army guy down from climbing up the stage.

Keanu Reeves and the chick he was with were banging. So I chose that.
Good song too: Concrete Blonde, I Want You. The girl was flatchested though.

I Will Not Fall also a good song.

Roadhouse have stood as a lighthouse on how to be a cooler not just a dumb bouncer, what has Point break inspired? Surfs up?
The Fast and The Furious and giving the criminal your car to escape the law in order to gain kewl kid status.

I like both movies a lot.

That being said, I like roadhouse more. It was one of the best martial arts films ever made.

I've probably rewatched roadhouse 50 times over the last 30 years. Point break I rewatches maybe 10
I'd like to have both in HD digital for easy access. Hopefully both will be cheap Black Friday.
