Media Poatan sparring with ex UFC fighter Robelis despaigne

With small gloves some of those shots would have ended badly for Alex...
Yea you can for sure see the power difference when their punches land, both are pulling their punches but Robelis punches are noticeably heavier.

This short video makes me think Gane would have success against Poatan..

Despaigne has a Karate Combat fight coming up soon, I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do.
Gonna get knocked out stiff by the greatest heavyweight champion of this generation:

Say what you will about Robelis as a mixed martial artist. He started late in the game with zero grappling. In a strikes only fight, dude is a monster. Yes, still Chama at HW, they were going toe to toe. Despaigne is used to knocking HWs out in 20 seconds and shit

pic won't load because Sherdog is forever broken, I can only assume you were tricking me into looking at a dick pic or something :(

Despaignes can't wrestle for shit but at HW that's the one place you can still get by if you're good elsewhere at least.

The UFC match making set him up to fail. He should still be in the UFC. The size and power is not something you see often.

Would've been awesome opponent for Rico too.

Thoughts? Is it still chama at HW or no chama?

This clip made it look at first like Robelis was doing a terrible MVP impression and getting caught all the while, but he takes over shortly after, and in the full sparring clip you can see he was doing extremely well.
