Media Poatan responds to Usyk

It's funny how these fuckers always insist the MMA guy come over to their sport, but never have the balls to come over to MMA...
UFC's structure doesnt really allow for it. Except for the Toney fight how often would they REALLY let someone one and done it against another STRIKER no less??

Do it in MMA. Some Saudi person will pay the UFC for it.

Because 100 Million dollars mafacka

Imagine how boring the UFC would be without a guy like Alex. Can anyone picture Ankalev putting out fun shit like this?

Fun shit like getting called out by Usyk? A fight that isn't gonna happen...

usyk vs poatan would go like joshua vs ngannou, pereira would just walk into left hands and get sent flying across the ring. Usyk isn't even a big puncher but he's so much better at boxing that he would just be nailing alex perfectly every time he tried to do anything.
Exactly it would be a mauling

Big of these boxing guys to challenge mma fighters in boxing matches. At least they are paying. Maybe wrestlers should start calling them out for wrestling matches as well. Kickboxers too.
Maybe they should choose a discipline they don’t compete in, so we can all have a laugh - like tennis or chess.

Uysk aint no Toney. He would train seriously for that, with world class trainers.
True, but guys that have trained kickboxing exclusively their whole lives have struggled with Poatan's low kicks. Usyk beats him easily in pure boxing. Kickboxing would definitely level the playing field.

Heh, if he is talking about a retirement fight, when he has dominated the sports, he would want it to be challenging, right? Then why not mix it up and do kickboxing or MMA? Because he knows he is going to lose? I think so. So he wants it to be in his comfort zone, I just don't know why when Usyk is a boxer that follows a code, it seems, of wanting the best challenges. He knows Poatan is far from the best challenge in boxing... He knows he is also going to be destroyed if it's not boxing. So it is just weird for Usyk to want it... I mean, there are only two clear outcomes, that are based off on whether the rules are that they are only allowed to used their hands or not, the first one in which Usyk destroys and the second one in which he gets mauled.

Usyk should stop with those things unless he meant doing an MMA match, which also, he would look kinda foolish, because he knows he can't win. But choosing a big money fight under a ruleset he knows he's going to win isn't a move I expected from Usyk, he has plenty of money already... He knows Alex Poatan is not a boxer. So, unless those boxers want to try MMA, it should just stop because it's a fight that is just entertainment in the sense there is one that has the advantage, clearly. And it's a fight that is one rule were added that kicks were allowed, then Usyk would be fucked up.

It's just BS... I hope Poatan is smart and doesn't take the bait, I mean, I think Poatan knows it's just nonsense, he has been trolling the idea quite a bit. He had already said that MMA fighters going to box champions outta the gate like when Ngannou did that is a "suicide mission".

Thread clickbait aside, that looks like it was a fun trip.
I like the "Big Punch" shirt haha.
Definitely impressive how well he sparred that boxer, though the guy hasn't competed since 2021 and now seems to be an actor. He got silver in the 2014 Asian Games and it seems he hasn't been at major tournaments for about 10 years.

There's a reason why all these mma fighters love boxing and could have the potential to earn more there but go and stick with mma.

It's true for Usyk and Floyd. They have already defeated boxing.
I've never been a huge fan of the weight divisions so that people in the lighter weights can rack up different titles by going up just 4-8 pounds sometimes, especially when it's just a belt or two at each weight but Usyk? First guy to unify the belts at Cruiserweight and Heavyweight since Holyfield in 92, and first to do it in the "four belt" era. I mean, that's just the winning goal. Where does a guy go from there?

Usyk is out of challenges after he beats the Dubois/Parker winner, he knows that nobody coming up would do better than those he already beat. Retirement is getting close, so he wants to try on somebody outside of boxing who's hands he is impressed with.

It's an honor for Pereira and a chance to make as much in one bout as in his whole MMA career.

I can't hate on this like some of you are doing, it's not like Alex has to accept - but it would be epic if he did.

It wouldn't be enough. Even izzy got chewed up by his leg kicks, a year or two of training wouldn't be enough to close the gap significantly

What does the video have to do with Usyk? He's challenged in it by the best Korean boxer, not Usyk.
HW boxer calls him out, he post a video of him bringing it to another HW boxer...
