If DC and Jones were still around at LHW I doubt Alex would be anywhere near the division let alone at the top

That said I enjoy the shit out of his fights and love his whole persona, he doesn't even need to speak English to be likeable and funny and he absolutely destroys people, what's not to love

I wouldn't say he's the best combat athlete of all time but he might be the best striker of all time in a kickboxing/mma context. He's had a great career. 2 weight champion in GLORY and 2 weight champion in the UFC. He has a 13-2 record in title fights if you combine GLORY and UFC fights. This type of accomplishment isn't seen that often and is definitely something special.

He is obviously an ATG if you combine his kickboxing and MMA achievements. Whether hes the greatest combat athlete of all time? for one it depends if you're counting wrestling, if you are then he definitely isnt. Achieving high level wrestling success is much harder than making it to the top of kickboxing.

Poatan is the best combat athlete ever his resume is insane. Jones/Andy are better at MMA but they could never compete at such a high level at K1.
