Pliny Petes Luchastravaganza Thread

The Mil/Matanza match was a lot better than I expected. That hip toss over the top rope was slick.

On a side note I wish I didn't have to watch LU on demand and actually got the El Rey network. Toxic Avenger marathon, bunch of old school action & Kung Fu movies on Monday, yes please.

Whenever I watch an episode with the commercials it really makes me want that channel. It looks awesome..

I watched the newest episode.

Cage is so jacked it's insane. His character work is terrible but he is so massive. More jacked and athletic than Apollo crews.

I hate how his feud with mundo has been booked. Taya and mundo don't mesh very well either. They have no chemistry. Taya has the body of a 10.

Trios match was rock and roll. Fenix is my dude. Hated the previous matanza muertes match.

Joey Ryan can really wrestle but he is booked like a chump here.

PJ black looks big. Too bad he is so uninteresting.
I like iveleses bum.

He used to do a lot of crazy moves too. He's settled down these last 3 years.

Every week I want to live comment on LU when I catch up on it but I really am just too deep into it. I always forget things I wanted to say afterward.

Trios match was great. You don't get to see those super face vs super face spots often at all.

Main event was great. Is there a gimmick match with as much character-appropriate flavor as Grave Consequences ? The whole Day of the Dead gimmick works so well.

And I love the world the show is building / has built. And I've had some thoughts on reconciling some of the more fantastic elements with some of the more realistic elements. Which I think they've done a brilliant job of literally just avoiding. But at a certain point I think it does have to decide what it is. Or, I dunno, maybe it doesn't ...

And is Taya's character supposed to be, like, a trashy midwest girl who moved to Hollywood to become an actress but wound up becoming a trashy stripper ?

The Graver Consequences match was incredible. For my personal tastes I'd give it 5 stars.. which is what I gave the first one with Fenix. Mil has the best big matches.

Was that Big Ryck at the end?? It's weird that I'd definitely like him to come back since I didn't give a shit about him in WWE whatsoever.

Legit nearly dislocated my jaw when it dropped the floor, when Jack Evans stole a 630 on Puma.

Seriously, it hurt like fuck, I was honestly worried I'd dislocated it

I've been marking out for Jack Evans lately. I popped huge for that 630.

I get like a Point Break vibe from Mundo, Evans and Black. Such a good team.. Glad they got the trios titles.

The flagrant sneaky nut shots were amazing. The end to that match where Puma just said fuck it was great.. and that kick to Taya, fuck.

Plus Cage and Cueto was a killer fucking match. I'm really enjoying Matanza's title run. Godzilla matches. LU really knows how to book their talented big guys.
