Please never let UFC events run that late ever again

The main event wasn't over til almost 11pm Pacific time. That means East Coast viewers it was almost 2 am. Most people were falling asleep even commentary was mentioning they were tired. The fights should have started an hour or 2 earlier to avoid this. Worst part is they cut into the Rizin broadcast which was an amazing show. Coleman and Jiri were at the opening ceremony in Japanese speedo banging drums. Missed almost whole thing because stupid UFC
Yes, I was surprised. Normally the ESPN cards and ABC cards start earlier than the PPV/ESPN+ cards.

I'm assuming since this is the first time I've seen an ESPN card on this late that they did it because they wanted the co main and main event to air after the hockey game which they had on national ABC.

I was watching hockey i only watched the bo fight
Good point. I think they purposely started this event later than normal because they also had a game 7 hockey national broadcast going on.

I watched most the UFC's on the west coast, after moving to the east coast it became so difficult to stay up for this shit, especially weak cards. I wish they would bump it an hour or 2 earlier, but likely they won't.

They can’t do that if they have to split with venues who are expecting guests at 10pm but the card isn’t ending for hours.

Wtf are you talking about? Why would the card 'not end for hours' if they are catering for PPV audience?

They could start at 5pm Vegas if they gave a shit about Eastern having their nights too and both reasonably ending early. They don’t.

No dumbass they wouldn't start that early if they wanted to make as much on PPV as possible. Thats the point. The time chosen is because most sports are over by 10pm EST and its still prime time to grab orders for PPV parties/bars in all N.A. time zones so you get max number of both West and East coast). You keep mentioning the Conor/Khabib fight......do the PPV math. $65 a pop times 2.4 million buys = $156 million estimated on PPV which is close to $200 million today. You're dicking around about the Vegas strip where they would be getting the money either way if it ended a couple hours earlier or not. If the UFC could make $400 million by putting the event on 2 hours earlier you bet your ass they would.

I got bored and dipped out after Felder called the first two women warriors after that stinker fight <lol>Zzz

I was watching hockey i only watched the bo fight

I wish they would be longer with more filler time
Give me 12 hour cards
My body is ready !

This is what I love about the overseas cards in Abu Dhabi and Europe. I get to watch the event early in the morning, then still have the whole day ahead of me.

Found the retard.

Thanks for agreeing mate.

You're not even addressing anything at this point. I'm sorry that I ruined your little theory because you went to a Conner fight in 2018 but facts are Vegas doesn't tell them the time to start. It's based on PPV. Thats why they moved PPVs to 9pm EST start back in 2011.... They did multiple PPVs in Vegas back then starting at 9PM EST and moved it back an hour when PPV decline. It has nothing to do with the Vegas strip.

However, officials are ditching the plans after 12 events, reportedly due to a sizable PPV-revenue decline in recent months.

^^Again nothing to do with Vegas. The time chosen is because of PPV. You don't have to win the internet every time. Just accept the facts the move the fuck on.

UFC forcing an agenda in fans/media/casuals as usual

Yeah its sucks. East coast here. Back when i had ESPN+ i just waited the next day if they were on too early or too late. Now that i just stream them all for free i either have to watch them live, or wait the next day to download them from the usual places.

Eastern time is the more populated timezone in the US, so I have no idea why they almost always cater to west coast time.

and they were mostly garbage fights too. time to bust out my PS3 catalogue.

Back in like 2010 they tried doing a PPV at 8pm EST once. I guess it didn't go well.

What a bunch of babies.
