Please explain why you think Poirier is “fake”

Can someone who doesn’t trust Poirier and think he’s fake please explain why? I see your comments here all the time. Is it because he directs a nonprofit? Is it because Colby says it? Is it because he’s kind of soft spoken at times? I swear for the life of me I cannot see why anyone would think he’s fake. To me, Dustin has always been straight up through his career, and his run following the loss to Conor has been epic.

i see comments all the time that basically say Dustin has a fake “nice guy” personality but he’s really an asshole, the same that Colby says about Dustin. I’m sure I’m just tripping and those anti Dustin fans are just repeating what Colby tells them.

the training footage was completely debunked. Colby was lying about it. I have no problem with him being cold to classless opponents. Conor was acting way out of hand.

I get where you're coming from, but being classy is showing restraint/dignity in the face of a classless opponent (e.g. Conor). Being classy when your opponent is showing you respect isn't exactly a high bar to set imo. I don't think Hooker was being classless post fight was he?

Also disagree on the training footage. Although it wasn't as bad as Colby said, it still didn't paint Dustin in a good light.

since when is sparring a bad thing? fighters in camp bring in people and work on stuff that how they do things. just cause dustin said anfd new is bad? it about a mental mendset.

I don't think it's fair to say post Conman fight (this 3rd one) that he was "pretty classless", as in comparisson to Conman after the same (and every fight) he was saint-like. Out of context/in a vacuum, I agree, the "those of you booing can kiss my whole asshole" (p.s.: LOL) is certainly classless, but in the context of the Conman trash-talk, death-threats, lack of humility, and why those people were booing, I give him a pass. He's not a bad guy by any stretch, or a bad role model.

Post fight after Poirier and McGregor:

1) Poirier points and laugh at McGregor
2) Poirier's wife flips him off
3) Poirier mocks McGregor's broken foot

He also: wishes him well, and for him to return safely to his family.

After you mock the guy for breaking his feet, laughed at him, and then choose to wish him a safe return to his "beautiful family".
The part where you comment the guy about his beautiful family comes off as extremely insincere and faked.

It didn’t paint Dustin in a bad light at all though. It was a hard session and Dustin was sparring Felipe Douglas who isn’t an amateur at all. The second Felipe goes down, Dustin does exactly what he’s supposed to do and backs up to give him space and time to recover. There’s nothing Dustin did wrong in that video.

I have to rewatch his post Hooker fight reaction to gauge. I don’t recall.

Yea but it’s not fake at all. Just cause he’s pissed at Conor doesn’t mean he wants bad shit to happen to him or his family. He was replying to Conor telling Dustin that he is going to kill him and his wife in their sleep.
