Once you've been truly truly hungry your food drive changes. I eat and drink incredibly fast, like I don't know when I last time I ate or when I will eat again. Sometimes I'll go days without being hungry and sometimes my sweet tooth takes over. My weight takes wild 10 lbs swings, but I keep myself around 200lbsHe needs to go on Ozempic, he clearly has an eating disorder - i think alot of fighters have eating disorders tbh. I lost 40lbs in the last 3 months on Ozempic, i train MMA but am no where close to being a pro fighter - but i can see clearly now alot of problems we share. Binge eating out of camp, fixation on food, addiction issues with weed and drink - honestly it has changed my whole life.
You're losing bone mass using that stuff, not just fat. Be carefulHe needs to go on Ozempic, he clearly has an eating disorder - i think alot of fighters have eating disorders tbh. He'll never be in a 5 rounder ever again.Fatstelum would have won a 5-rounder against Pyfer
People are quick to knock people out and shit on them. Dude is legit and some good fighters have bad runs. He's in his early thirties, though, so he needs to get some focus. Can't blame the guy for getting rocked early and coming back for the third. *shrug*Meh. None of Gastelum's losses are to cans and while he's not having a lot of great fights he's not having hard to watch fights either. He's fine to keep around as a gatekeeper to ranked fights--beat him and get a ranked fighter--or in some similar role. Non-jobber meat is a valuable MMA commodity. Yes, he shouldn't be on PPV main cards, but if he wants to keep fighting in the UFC there's space for him to do so.
I think every one of us was like her lol ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz.
You're better off with fighters that are hungry and care about their careers. When was the last exciting Kelvin fight, Chris Curtis? Dude doesn't take his career seriously, gets no finishes, isn't a draw. Better off cutting him and using the $100-$200k he makes a fight and signing 1/2 blue chip prospects. We don't need to cut every fighter just because they are on a losing streak.
This guy is has been a ranked and headline fighter for a long time. How about the company shows guys like this some loyalty in return for their years of service?
Unless the drop off is dramatic and the chin is dangerously gone, stop racing to cut every losing fighter. You're better off with a name like Kelvin Gastelum than you are a bunch of forgettable eastern European wrestlers.
Pyfer was extremely disappointing. He was always overhyped but I thought he'd be able to destroy a washed Gastelum. Instead he was just swinging right hands full power every 1.5 minutes, horrible fight IQ. He's huge and hits like a truck but his game is as deep as a puddle. It was more competitive than I expected. Pyfer is not what they want him to be. He'll be exposed again soon.
