And this game's over.
Series is over. OKC gotta be the heavy favorite for the championship right now.
Halicornball pulling a bunch of rabbits out the hat in the final is the only hope.
And this game's over.
This makes zero sense, you can't tell me Franz Wagner, Paolo Banchero, KAT, Damantas Sabonis, Joker, etc etc etc arent more fundmanetally skilled than guys in the past. They have better ball handling skills and better fast break ability than anyone except Tim Duncan. They also have way more varied options in shot selection, shot creation, and play making ability.I think there's some truth to the evolution of athletic talent, particularly 6'10" + centers with a guards agility and a forwards speed. Not in the quality sense but definitely in the quantity of athletes vs 25 yrs ago
2 way skills and offensive fundamentals on average are way off track though.

Bigs/Centers/PF"particularly 6'10" + centers"
Neither Wagner nor Banchero are centers. The plus sign + was in reference to Centers over 6'10" not other positions.
I will agree KAT Joker and Sabonis are rare unique talents at center. All great ball handlers and above average speed, shot selection and creation, playmaking and I'll add elite shooting range, however, once you leave the top 10-12 Centers what happens?

I appreciate the lesson lol. My point was mainly regarding the growth in athleticism at the Center position. I understand the difference between the modern game and how dynamic freaks like Banchero and Wagner are at the 3 and the 4 vs the previous gens.Bigs/Centers/PF
Modern game is guards/wings/bigs
glad I could clear this up for you
Pao Gasol was kind of a prototype for todays game, where he moved from Center/PF depending on line up. Instead of creating a seal for ISO the floor is spread out so the big can work the high post or the 2 man PnR. They need to be better play makers. There are exceptions, like Giannis and depending on the match up, Franz Wagner.
Offensive positioning generally relies on skill set and support than defined role.
It's why you see guys like Horf4g and Knuckle Dragger as centers, their skills as rebounders/screeners/spacers is more important than on ball ability despite Gaymond being listed as PF.
Its always gonna be harder to find big guys who can move. Luckily though we got a bunch of coordinated whites as bigs in the talent pool now. So we aren't stuck to just the tallest black dude in the gym (Michael Olowakandi ass). We have more diversity and more talent lolI appreciate the lesson lol.
