He needs to understand that no one will ever understand where he was coming from when he made that horrendous move. Accept that the fans will forever hate you and just move on. Nico comes up with some new bogus excuse every week and it just digs himself a deeper hole.

Nico at this point should say “Luka is no longer a Dallas Maverick and it’s time to put the past to rest and move on.” He’s embarrassing himself every time he brings it back up to try and garner sympathy for his actions.

The fallout from the Luka trade would probably be a lot less if Nico had shopped Luka around and got a better deal. Instead he just calls up the Lakers and boom it's done.
