Lmao at home teams utterly shitting on themselves.
While trading for Butler was an amazing move, I absolutely hate his extension and what his AAV is going to be at.

I agree, but his salary starting next season is going to make it hard for them to fix their other issues in adding a quality big man and strengthening their bench. If they don't trade for him, they're not even here. They're likely at home. Curry has been understanding despite all the shit moves they made after the title, especially in the draft, never asking to leave or leveraging his pull in the media. They owed it to him to maximize his last few years, even for Butthead.

I’m in agreement with you that they absolutely should have traded for Jimmy, just think they should’ve tried to get a friendlier salary is all. With the way the new aprons and tiers are set, it's going to make it tough for most teams to level up unless it's Bird rights or they're willing to pay hundreds of millions in extra payroll escalators. GSW is one of those teams. Even Boston is going to unload contracts next year under new ownership because of the luxury tax aprons and team restrictions. That said, who else were they going to pick up? Would you be willing to just wash a year of your best player away waiting?
