NBA Playoffs thread - Scientists unite

Going to be tough to watch my Rockets and my Warriors.

Rockets should take it but hopefully there's just some decent basketball for a change.

I couldn’t watch the whole game, but from what I could see both teams played their hearts out / asses off, Ja made some nice buckets in the come back effort.

Very solid / entertaining game considering its two low seeded team in the play in.

Its so fun to watch when Cheph cooks at the end of a game. Like when he bailed out team USA in the Olympics.

Also LMAO at these refs.

It was a one-man show to close the game. Crazy that he bailed them out again. He also led the team in rebounds.

Must be exhausting to carry an entire team for all these years.

Curry is amazing, but when hes won anything hes never been anything like a one man show.

The last time the warriors won a title Wiggins input was huge, also Jordan Poole’s presence was a crucial part of the offensive recipe.

Perhaps you should check out the end of the gold medal game last year.

Probably the closest thing to a one-man show in the past 25 years. Guy put an entire country on his back and won the gold chip.

2022 was also as close to a one-man show as we've seen in the past few decades.

Sorry but Olympics don’t mean shit to me..

Not trying to detract from Curry, but just outlining the reality of what has made the warriors successful. He’s an all time player, but when they’ve won titles it’s been about the warriors system, of which he’s been the centrepiece..

Everybody else on that team was jubilant watching that masterpiece. But you don't care, okay. Cool bro.

"Its been about the warriors system, of which he's been the centerpiece" ...what the hell are you even trying to say?

I was making an argument about curry in the warriors system snd winning in the nba you responded about tcurry and the Olympic team.. kind of a different conversation.

The second part is fairly easy to understand re him being the centrepiece of the system.

Ive made reasonable arguments not sure why u mad bro..

>shrug

I'm not mad, but, you just ain't making much sense. What championship player is not part of a system?

I’m just challenging the notion that he’s a one man show.

Strange to say that a guy who won 2 titles with the best team of all time behind him, a one man show.

In basically all the championship teams he played on the warriors system was the primary reason that they won titles. But he’s the weapon that makes that system possible.

The team has been famous for ball movement. One of the best teams at moving the ball with many passes a possession to find an open shooter (of which they’ve had the best) or cutter.

Klay Thompson is famous for having most points on the least amount of dribbles in a game, ball movement got him those shots.

Also the earliest iterations of the winning warriors had the highest defensive rating in the league. They had some nice role players and a deep team.

Curry’s incredible shooting, handle and some really nice work under the rim meant hes always drawn lots of attention.

But I feel that what’s made them as successful as what they’ve been is that when they’ve won titles they’ve had multiple shooters who are super elite and deadly. And as a team they’ve moved the ball so well that other teams have run themselves off the floor.

Curry is an all time player, he’s never been a one man show (when they win).
