SGA has the softest whistle I’ve ever seen in any sport. He’s done absolutely nothing to earn this sort of treatment. I don't get it.

This isn't exactly a new take. Even players have said this. But if OKC is likely to win anyways the league might as well try to help create a superstar.

Its hard to "create a superstar" if half the fans around the league already have labeled him as a shameless free throw merchant. This same sort of thing has hurt Embiid's image to a significant degree and SGA is in the same sort of situation. Being a superstar is also more than just basketball, its personality and presentation of the product. I mean, if you ask me honestly, how many superstars have been in the NBA for all of History, I struggle to think of more than 6-10 range. Pretty much everyone on the list is recognizable on a world wide level, by many people that don't even watch basketball.

Wilt
Bird
Magic
Jordan
Kobe
LeBron
Luka (Yea I said it)

CLIFFS: SGA ain't gonna be a superstar. Great player, but seriously flawed and doesn't have the global exposure.

I agree it won't be an easy road to make SGA huge like the others. But marketing will still try, and there are a lot of casuals who will still eat some stuff up. I mean, Embiid has a rep, but he's also never won a chip or even gotten past I think the second round. Usually if a team is gonna win a chip, they'll (the league) want to jazz up at least one person on that team. It's help turn Tatum into one of the most overrated players in the league.

Type of player you can't fucking stand on the opposing team whenever they make a shot.

Interesting time because no matter what, a team that hasn’t won dick in my 30+ years of watching NBA basketball will win a title.

I hope it’s the Knicks despite them being the big market.

Normally I’d choose Indiana but I can’t in good conscience root for them because my team traded their best player to them. I’m otherwise fine with what we got back and it’s mostly the roads taken after the trade..but still, can’t have a title hanging over our heads

Can’t stand FTA or Antman..plus Chet Holmgren dresses like a total douche bag when he isn’t playing. So can’t root for them

If you're talking about Kings trading Haliburton - that was like malpractice.

I don't mind anyone winning except for OKC. That style is just disgusting and I can't condone that. The other team's have never won any titles or it's been half a century.

As a Knicks fan, I know I'm probably biased but I don't think Brunson flops nearly as bad as SGA. Am I being blind and biased? I just don't see it.
