Food & Drink Pizza Hut - Yay or nay?

There something about Pizza Hut that I always find delicious.

It's my favorite of the fast food pizza chains.

How about you guys?

One of the better chains imo. Obviously there’s tons of pizza in the world that’s better, but for an affordable chain restaurant it’s solid.

I just avoid the pan pizzas, personally. Thin or hand tossed is the way to go.

Back in my 80s childhood, you were teh best kid on the block if you were getting PIzza Hut for dinner. Nowadays, I'm really not a fan.

For chain pizza, I prefer Papa Johns or Marcos. Less greasy

My go to right now is PJ's Philly pizza, but at the last place I lived I was one block from PH and I ordered carryout all the time, usually meat lovers

It didn't evolve....... It could've been the McDonald's of the Pizza chains....... Instead it went down the all you can eat buffet version of Pizza chains.....

If the pan is made just right, its the best pan pizza ive ever had, but its extremely rare. Their prices are a bit silly when they match local places that are better that dont fuck up as much.

When was the last time you had Pizza Hut?

I had Pizza Hut about 2 weeks ago.

A few months ago probably. It doesn’t happen often because I’m not in the nearest Pizza Hut’s delivery area, so I’d have to drive there, and if I do that then I’m also fairly close to other pizza places which are better so I usually just get my pizza at those other places.

Fun fact about Bfoe, my first job when I was 16 years old or whatever, was at Pizza Hut. We were a delivery only location though, so no customers came in, which was nice. I was a cook at first and then a delivery driver. Delivering pizzas was a bangin’ job for a teenager in the 90s.

I made my hourly wage, which was just minimum wage at the time ($4.25/hr lol). But they paid us $.50 per pizza for gas, which was crazy because gas at the time was between 80-90 cents a gallon. There was an apartment complex right across the street and people ordered all the time. You could take 4 orders across the street for 4 customers, use basically no gas but get paid $2 for gas reimbursement, plus tips on all 4 orders. And then basically you’re just driving around, chain smoking cigs and listening to your favorite music. Good times.

Good when your in the mood for cheap pizza. There are a dozen renowned pizzarias near me. It's easy to find something better but Domino's and pizzaslut always have deals

It's the only pizza chain I have near my house so we end up getting it maybe every other week.

No issues here. Give me that greasy pepperoni and it reminds me of my childhood.

That’s weird, I wonder what the difference is. I dunno if things have changed, but in my Pizza Hut days we used a conveyor oven. So basically we’d measure out the ingredients onto the sauced dough, and put that bitch in the conveyor oven and it comes out the other side cooked. Provided the oven temp is correct, it should come out pretty damn close to the same every time. Unless maybe certain times you order a lot more toppings than other times so it doesn’t cook fully or something.

Not sure what it is, but I can't stand the tomato sauce at both Pizza Hut and Papa Johns. I'm good with different styles of pizzas from each though.
