The traditional spirit of martial arts was all about carrying yourself a certain way inside and outside of fighting
Bruce lee didn't embody that in competition he was an advocate for mental warfare.

Did Bruce lee go round saying he's gonna murder people and make jokes about people dying, brag how rich he is, how everyone else is irrelevant, talk over people when they don't speak English, and generally be a dick?

Pretty sure almost all traditional marital arts including theories Connor appropriated the bow and hand symbol from to look cool would frown on being a total douche outside the cage

Machida doing traditional bow or symbol would make sense

Conor no

You don't achieve certain levels in fitness & technique Conor has without a deeper understanding of martial arts and their philosophies, I'm going to assume Conor has a greater understanding of martial arts than you give him credit for.

Like using a bow that has traditional meanings, that he doesn't embody lol

It's like just randomly throwing up a black panther sign or nazi salute or any random sign with no idea the context or meaning behind it

If a guy did that everyone would think he was a dick

To most people it's just they see this bow with vague associations to martial arts like mr miyagi or yoda, but it's infact a traditional bow that's totally not relevant to Conor

It couldn't be that you're judging Conor for what he wants you to think of him right? Are we pretending that projecting an image & getting inside you opponent's head isn't part of mental warfare which is a huge part of martial arts?

The fact is we don't know what he embodies, only him and those close to him would know, you're just buying into his public persona.
