Nate has more submission victories than Bendo and recently submitted Miller who had never been submitted before. Bendo on the other hand has 5 decisions in the UFC so far. Just sayin'

Bendo wins most of his fights by taking guys down and controlling them on the ground, BJJ isn't just about submissions. Bendo is great at controlling guys on the ground and avoiding opponents submission attempts. He does have good submissions as well though, especially his guillotine.

Nate Diaz has been controlled on the ground before by strong wrestlers, and I expect Bendo to do the same.

hes pretty much had a size advantage/matched up with over most of his opponents

Indeed Benson has huge legs. However his chest is less wide and he has less core muscles. He's also much shorter and less reach. He just doesn't look like he belongs in Nate's weight class.

He's the champ it's his weight class.
He doesn't belong in his own weight class?

By your logic the largest person in each division should be champion. Brock Lesnar should have dominated the HW division for years, right?

Weight matters if the disparity is enormous (and sometimes not even then), or if all else is equal. And nothing is ever equal.

To sum it all up, who cares? If he's able to become the champion of that division, then why should he fight at a lower one? It was the same shit with Frankie. Also Nate's a tall LW, basically the exception, not the rule. That's similar to suggesting that Aldo doesn't belong at 145lbs because of fighters like Pablo Garza.

Everyone's so focused on size and physique...
