[PIC] Benson Henderson really a featherweight?

Here's a more accurate one. TS had to of purposely lowered Benson along with using a smaller pic.

No, if you check the original picture of Benson its taken slightly closer making him bigger. You can verify this by measuring the letters in the background. They had to pull back a bit to get all of Diaz in. You have to compensate for the error in scale which you didn't. Newbie. Measure the heights of the letters and you'll realize your error.

When I overlaid the weight machine was pixel perfect with each other. You can verify yours is wrong by looking at mine and seeing the font of the UFC in benson and diaz photos is exactly 45 pixels high. Unlike your rubbish.

I do admit my lining up of Benson and Diaz in the first image is slightly off though, giving Benson a bigger height advantage than he should have. It should be pulled down 3 or 4 pixels to match Diaz. ie he is even shorter than he appears in that image, but the one below is 100% correct.

Bravo, TS! This is THE MOST thinly veiled troll thread that I have read this week. Keep up the good work with the bad attempt to warp weigh in photos, lol.

Henderson takes this one by vicious ground and pound in round 4. Diaz does not have the 5 round experience that Henderson does, which will be a big deal in this fight. Nate is fighting for the title and for two more rounds than he has ever trained for? Totally going to get beat down in the later round.

Also, if you think that leg strength is not beneficial to MMA, you're either a super troll or just don't know anything about fighting. His legs ARE huge, but he is also incredibly lean and his speed has never been an issue before. You try taking a full power kick to the leg a few times and you will also appreciate their benefits, lol. Nate obviously does not do much weight lifting, if any, and his muscles are lean enough to be a marathon runner. Problem is, he's giving up the explosive power that Bendo gets from his legs, as well as just being weaker in general in the explosiveness department. Bendo is practically constructed from all fast twitch muscle fibers, lol.

Again: Bendo by turning Diaz's face into ground beef on the ground in round 4. Night everyone :)

He has tree trunk legs like mirko and shogun.

Like Shogun huh.

Troll thread? I do think Diaz is going to win (likely by submission) but if Benson does what you say then I'll also be happy as it means he would have finished a fight in the UFC.

I want champions in the UFC that actually finish fights instead of decisions.

I'm not sure how exactly you prove having upper leg mass is good here.

If you can have "pure technique" and sacrifice muscle on your legs and put it into your shoulders, traps, arms, etc then that means you'll be more powerful in the clinch and for boxing, etc.

nah.

No, Benson's scale is smaller in your pic, noob.

Just wait until he gets his water weight back.

If his muscles are actually deflated that greatly as some here are saying then that means their size is more related to glycogen than actual protein content. This means he would be able to store decent amounts of energy in his muscles which is good for cardio but not strength.

It will be interesting to see how he looks tomorrow against Nate in the cage, I don't think he is going to look huge next to Diaz, people are just remembering the 20lb discrepancy between him and Edgar I think.

When I overlaid the weight machine was the exact same size (width and height) in both, not sure what ridiculous claim you are making but you are likely wrong.

Again, no, judging by the quality of your cut you shouldn't be allowed to use photoshop.

Yeah the fact you just took the original images and overlaid them without even considering scale shows you're full of beans.

Dude, that second picture is just wrong...

And Benson starves himself to make lw. Nate is the tallest lw so he is going to dwarf some fighters.

Nate is taller and thicker, yeah, he dwarfs Benson I agree.

I don't see why people think Henderson shouldn't be fighting at featherweight, they'll think that in 16 hours or so I guess.

No, if I would have used the the original pic without scaling it Benson would have been appeared smaller. The fact that you shrunk it even more is comical.

Nice, I like how your proof of not needing much leg muscle shows a heavy weight who doesn't have to cut and therefore more leg muscle is probably not going to hurt much.

And the second showing Manny who doesn't have large legs. Nice work there.

lol, check the UFC squares behind the photos in these images. Measure them.

You can clearly see the UFC on Fox logo, the BUD LIGHT logo, the UFC logo and the WEIGH MACHINE is BIGGER in the benson image which means the camera is closer to him (or they have cropped and resized) and therefore his size is enhanced compared to the Diaz photo. All other evidence shows the same.

The UFC box is 74 pixels wide in Diaz shot and 84 pixels wide in Hendersons. Go learn maths newb. One would think seeing they have CLEARLY cropped the image so their head is at the top of the image should make it clear but obviously on sherdog nothing can be too clear for some.

Yeah, and those pics are not the same scale as the ones you put together in your OP. You got nothing & hopefully your fake overlay didn't fool anyone.

(1) 99 percent of Bendo's deflation is due to dehydration. A very small proportion of this is attributable to glycogen stores in the muscle (and every gram of glycogen requires four grams of water.)

(2) Why would glycogen stored in muscles not be good for strength? Why do you suppose glycogen is stored in muscles in the first place? Glycogen is catabolized to glucose, which is the body's preferred substrate for the production of ATP molecules (the body's universal energy currency.) Muscles require fuel (read: ATP) in order to contract.
