PBP PFL vs. Bellator: Champs, Sat. 2/24, 12:30 PM ET/9:30 AM PT PBP Discussion Thread

Amazing how Jackson was a decision machine and is now finishing against much better competition.

He’s beat Alex or Hill fighting in main event of ufc 300
he'd have a good shot due to grappling yes, however someone like Ankalaev would give him a lot of problems. Someone like Jiri can beat him, he is top 5, just nothing that screams greatness.

Yeah, but aside from dreadful Romero fight, the other two were like Goldberg vs Barry Darsow. Like, these were the best PFL could muster to carry their name? I know people like Collard, bc he's brawls and has decent boxing, but did anyone really think that fight was going to go any other way?? This card is kinda proof positive that PFL is ass. It isn't like when Bellator squared off with RIZIN those times and RIZIN fighters hung around with most of the Bellator guys (and won a few), the talent discrepancy on this card is absurd. PFL should co-promote with RIZIN next, make them look good.
The three best of pfl pulled out in mago, Pino and Braga all would be competitive if not winning ez.
Have never followed Coopers career. Forgetting this is short notice, where in his career is he? Is he past peak or still somewhere in it? Same goes for Jackson

Feel like both dudes been around for a good while
Feels like he could be in his prime but looks like he hasn't trained since winning a second PFL title and is just cashing in for the money

Jackson looked GREAT. Dude has been clearly upgrading his entire skillset and even added more power to his striking.

Cooper looked horrible, dude went from a well round monster of a boxer wrestler with power at all times to a less muscular and undisciplined fighter that throws 2 big hooks at a time.

Jackson vs Magomed is still a great fight but I do think Jackson might style on him from the tools he's showing. I'm excited.
