They picked up Salamat Isbulaev whos 9-0 pro and was 29-3 amateur. Isbulaev was fighting at 155 and I always felt he was more of a 145er, he announced his drop to 145 upon signing with PFL. He could turn out to be a very big talent.
Patrick Habirora, Salamat Isbulaev, Amru Magomedov, Renat Khavalov, Paul Hughes...they are really signing a lot of the best talent in the world that either the UFC doesnt want due to them being Russian or Central Asian, or in Hughes and Habiroras case they are willing to offer more lucrative contracts than contender series shit.
Really curious if this persists. Theres really big talent out there thats lingering for no reason still like Mokaev, Igor Severino, Daniyar Toychubek. You got Asaf Chopurov and Mehemmedeli Osmali, Sean Clancy, Oualy Tandia, Khotam Boynazarov and Samandar Murodov. Adam Masaev is back at 155 and Rzepecki is really good for Poland. They can build divisions competitive in talent to the UFC, but can they get people to care at all about them?
