Of course because its a global sport and the markets they are big in and have big tv deals matter more than ones they dont. They just signed a deal to bring events to Macau and they dont have a ton of chinese fighters so of course they would sign him if he was Chinese.

They could have more than half the roster being from the Russia region but it wouldnt make sense. Means some guys dont get signed, some arent valued as others etc. The Russian tv money isnt very good I believe and they dont hold events there.

To be fair, the UFC did sign Losene Keita, Jakub Wiklacz, Robert Ruchala, Ante Delija, etc. which were quality European signings.
