PBP PFL Road to Dubai Champions Series: Nurmagomedov vs. Hughes ***Sherdog Discussion*** 1/25 11AM ET (MAX)

Great fight but Usman definitely won 1,4,5 so even with favorable judges Hughes could eek out a draw at worst Usman at 49. Great use of wrestling to win championship rounds decisively.

Dude Hughes is amazing and Usman is like the level to beat. I did not see that one coming, Hughes is going to be an issue

paul landed way better sttrikes, negated most of the wrestling, hit the switches, finished every round stronger, and got that point deduction in his favor. esasy win for hughes. usman looks like shit.

Usman is still winning like 90% of the rounds. Hughes landing a good shot every now and then and showing life at the end of the round doesn't just make him win it.

fk I got up late and then my river site only had KSW and LFA not PFL

Donn Davis talking to Hughes, telling him for his effort, he's going to give him some free Takedown Gear and energy drinks from Celsius.

what is he winning with? his point deduction? his wrestling that amounted to 0 damage? he got one solid takedown in with actual ground control time. and then finished that round weak af. you dont know what youre talking about.

Yep, unfortunately hughes stood around watching too much. Frustrating, but usman's game can do that to guys.
UD (footwork)
Hughes just couldn't force exchanges. Meant he was swimming against the points all the time. Even though the big majority of the Russian's game was non-impactful point-stuff
