I guess this is a upward move if not slightly parallel move ..for PFL at least they've decided what to do with Bellator and have a chance to give talent more fights like tournament alternates and fillers between rounds of the tournament...

I believe on the MMA hour Davis said shortly after they took Bellator over they had to respect some Bellator deals and sponsorships for one year. In other words if you want the existing media deals and sponsorship deals to pay you, you'll run these show under the Bellator name. He also said some of this conflicted with PFL's existing deals. Just a necessary evil to operate shows under the Bellator name for one year. Now it is done.

Note the implication that there wasn't actually enough money or publicity at stake for it to be worth the PFL's time to negotiate the minor changes to those deals it would have taken to run events solely under the PFL name. While the sponsors would have extracted something for the changes, it's not like they would have had any real leverage to extract anything more than rebranding costs plus some nominal cash concessions. Basically, this is an admission that the PFL name is worthless.

I just want to rip Bellator one more time for the record.

Bellashit was one of worst live mma company ever. Boring to watch with the low quality ugly colors presentation, boring fights 60% of a time, selling fights and on the night cancelling them.

My last live event was in LA with Fedor vs Bader 2. That night alone they had to cancel 6 fights, 3 of them were in the main event. Literally 45min of just hearing commercials over the speaker was an embarrassment. It was bad that ppl started to sing.

So goodbye and never come back. Will not be missed.

I don’t think anybody who wants to make money can afford Francis. His 2 boxing matches and 1 pfl mma fight were all ppv busts
