Usman needs to move to the UFC. He has been Bellator (later PFL) King since 2022. He's a superb fighter and dominated Hughes.

Their goal was for Islam to retire or move up and then Usman getting signed to follow him. Now with Islam possibly being done with the division, I could see Usman making the move at some point once he fought out his contract.

He signed a 2 year extension with PFL this year so its gonna be a little while before he could jump ship. Plus if he's still the champ extensions and clauses will keep him locked up.
