Frankie Edgar
But Frankie was the champ, and he was filling in for Koch as a replacement. This is not the same thing.

I think it would be a more likely scenario that Aldo is two fights away from being FW and LW champ. No?There's a good chance that Pettis beats both Aldo and Henderson.
Assuming he gets past Aldo, would he face Henderson after that? Awesome rematch and a "superfight", why not?
With a win over Ben he has two belts.
How would this work out? There would be a lot of waiting for contenders in both divisions. I know there's many ifs but it's a very possible scenario.
Dana said if Pettis beats Aldo he'll have to defend the 145 belt a few times before getting a shot at the LW title, I bet Pettis didnt realize he was signing up for that
from ufc tonight
This is the course of action that makes the most sense. If Pettis isn't affected by the weight cut, why would he want to go back to LW. Guida already showed it's possible to lay n pray him for three rounds. Even if he won the belt from Bendo, he'd have trouble keeping it against fighters like Maynard. I think he'd have much more favorable matchups at FW.
