There's a good chance that Pettis beats both Aldo and Henderson.

Assuming he gets past Aldo, would he face Henderson after that? Awesome rematch and a "superfight", why not?
With a win over Ben he has two belts.

How would this work out? There would be a lot of waiting for contenders in both divisions. I know there's many ifs but it's a very possible scenario.

Dana said if Pettis beats Aldo he'll have to defend the 145 belt a few times before getting a shot at the LW title, I bet Pettis didnt realize he was signing up for that

from ufc tonight

Hypothetically, but if he loses to Aldo where does he go then?

lets not get ahead of ourselves, but im hopeful he takes this fight - if he takes this one, well he alraedy beat bendo, so hes def got a great chance

If he wins, he needs to defend the belt. If he loses, he can go back to LW and be 2-3 wins from a shot at that belt again (maybe 1-2 if no definite #1 contender comes forward in that time).

I think he needs to get back in line if he loses. If he can get a title shot at 145 for his accomplishments at 155, then a loss at 145 should put him back a little at 155.

u'll prob be mad about what happens then

but i got pettis winning, so maybe it wont come up:]

Same case for Aldo. It's actually guaranteed that one of them will be one fight away from having both

I wouldn't call it a "good chance." Beating one of them would be pretty damn difficult, much less both consecutively (if the UFC would even allow that, which is also unlikely)

I would hope so. I'd actually be pretty pissed if pettis beat Aldo then had to fight guys like KZ, Lamas, and cub. Those guys are good fighters but honestly not at pettis or aldos level

Yeah, needless to say I'm a little irked with all this wheel of fortune match making that's going on lately.

yea, i just selectively get mad when i feel like it -

im like one of those mob wives - complain but then happily accept all the spoils

While I agree that Lamas and KZ are not as good as Aldo, Pettis would still need to defend his title. I mean, there will always be a varying level of contenders for a title.
