Pettis fucked-up by not cuting the extra 0,2 pound

Pettis should have tried to make 155 "just in case", regardless of the failed negotiations. With all the withdrawals and the madness around the event, he should have thought of the possibility that the UFC would have to ask him again to fight Khabib.

He would have been the only one at championship weight left after Felder was denied by the commission. IMO he just bailed on the last great move of his career.
He asked for more money when they offered the fight. They asked Al and he said yes then Pettis started crying that he wanted the fight. Al deserved it over him IMO. Dude has had more chances then he deserved to fight for the title he's not in a spot to demand more money at this point. Dude was fighting to stay in the UFC then if offered to become champion and he asks for more money then they offer and cries when someone else accepts the fight. Pettis can kick rocks and go to Bellator.

So should have Iaquinta.

This is a one way ticket for Khabib to get the belt, or McNeverDefend to keep his.
If he wasn’t officially stripped before, he will be (or should be) after this...Jones got stripped when he committed his criminal acts

On the face of it is it not absurd anyway if you have 2 fighters walking around at say 175 and they both bring themselves to the edge of death to weigh in at 155 then are back up to 175 in the cage anyway?

What's the point of that? Just have a Dr. ascertain their healthy weight and boom there's your weight category.

That's likely how it'll be, similar to some other organizations. As it is, many commissions (including Nevada) haven't even adopted the new-ish "unified" rule changes that were made a year or so ago; so different rules per jurisdiction/commission; it took however long just for MMA to be legalized in NY; downward elbows still illegal; many questionable/inconsequential (non-performance-enhancing) banned substances; lack of competent judges/refs/officials, judging system still a mess; still no fouls for eye pokes...still the same gloves; still the same Reebok complaints & lack of sponsorships; still no in-fight replay; still no collective bargaining; still no guaranteed compensation to fighters who make weight only to lose their opponent; still fighters without fights for extended periods of time, without explanation, unable to compete; fighters can't even run to the back if they suddenly have to take a shit. This stuff is gonna take serious time.

He probably is, but you KNOW Greedypotomus will let him hang onto that shit if he even THINKS there's a possibility of his cash cow coming back.

You’ve got to ask the question, why has Dana not just come out and said he’s cut for that kind of behaviour? No doubt because they still want to make McGregor-Khabib in Russia and you can’t buy this kind of promotion, even if it does end up being his last fight as I doubt he’ll be able to get a visa after this incident.

At this point, I don't give a fuck, T-Clitty is coming for them; standing, on the ground, in the clinch.

If they aren't going to commit to paying him he shouldn't commit to dehydrating himself.

It's only a great move if he wins. Otherwise it's up to 25 minutes of getting beaten up for another loss, no win bonus, dropping back further from the title and not the money he wanted.

But if he won, he would be on top again. Then he would have a bargaining chip for more money. BUT i guess he didn't think he had a shot of winning.

He probably thought he could win. But wanted compensation win or lose.
