"I spoke to Dana, Joe Silva, but it was all up to him (McGregor). They said RDA pulled out and they are not going to make him fight anybody, they are going to let him choose who he wants to fight. I figured he wouldn't pick me. So, I was a little excited about it, but, there was easier opponents and easier guys for him to fight."

"Diaz is a tough fight at 170. Going from 45 to 170, that's a huge jump right there. I mean, top 10 lightweights, no one is easy, but there are quicker routes and easier ways for him to move. I wouldn't say it's an easy fight for him, but, as far as fighting me or 'Cowboy' who just came off a camp, Diaz was just sitting there for the picking."

Once again, he is fighting the guy who beat the breaks off of the other guy and lasted more than a few minutes against the current champ.

Pettis literally can't even.

Pettis pulls out of half of his fights. Shut up Pettis.

I really doubt Pettis would show up to the fight. I agree that Cowboy could have been a more challenging fight.

The fans in most polls I saw all wanted Diaz to be the replacement opponent.

Not arguing who may have been in better condition, but I think this was the biggest money fight for them to make in terms of interest on short notice.

Pettis you are the easier fight. You have not been the same since Dos Anjos fucked you in the ass.
Find that fire boy.

Does this surprise anybody? He likes fighting guys with less than a 15 day training camp.

But I thought the it was the "UFC" who said no to Khabib. Now Pettis is saying that they were going to let Conor choose? I'm confused.

Maybe, but it's Connor's prerogative to do so. He got all the eyes on him and then backed it up.
So can every other manlet fight dry their salty tears and STFU now?

This coming from the same bloke who said he'd only consider fighting Conor if he beat Aldo, now he's all over wanting to fight him.

Wasn't good thinking ahead on his part. He was actually the biggest moaner on the show today - blaming no strength and conditioning for his last camp and doing only wrestling, which seems strange, as I'd think you'd need good strength and conditioning if the game plan revolved around it.

Well he is right

Pettis wanted that red panty night. RDA was gonna get it but now it's Nate. He sounds a little down about that. His time will come though, especially since this is a fight the fans want to see.

Smart choice by Conor if you ask me, it is two weeks after all.

Not to mention the Diaz Conor fight probably sells better than Conor RDA

I honestly think Conor is a fan of, and likes, the Diaz brothers. Hence, his wanting to let Nate in on the biggest payday of his life (a.k.a., red panty night).

Pettis is the easier fight for conor.

Can't wait for the day Mac fights Pettis.
This is a matchup of two elite strikers with KO abilities.

Diaz is a fan favourite fight.

The guy who ran from the Aldo fight criticizing the guy who chased after it and KO'd Aldo.

Keep talking, Pettis.

Although Pettis is made of glass & very annoying most of the time, this is common sense.

Of course he did, he always does.
