Yans trained with good wrestlers for a long time though. I'm not sure he's going to make any sudden improvements now. He's always had good tdd. The good thing in this match up is that merab doesnt have the ability to control yan the way sterling did, the bad thing is that merab has better takedowns than sterling and is better in the clinch and has the cardio to spam them all night for a very ugly fight.

To be fair, Chinese new year is the most important holiday for them and it doesn't start until January 23rd and ends February 5th. He most likely is indeed on holiday. I'm sure with a bigger heads up, he would have accepted it.
