Here is a summary of the key points discussed:

Fight Preparation and Mindset

Asked if he feels 100% since last fight against Merab he said he was injured going in:

• Yan states his training camp went "great" and he feels "excellent," saying he is looking forward to Saturday to show what he is capable of [00:35].

Asked if this is more important than the Jose Aldo championship win (to get revenge on Merab)

• He views this upcoming fight as much more important for him and the community than his previous fight against José Aldo. He wants to return to the top and show what he can do [07:07].

On Merab Dvalishvili

• Merab's Success: Yan acknowledged that Merab has done a "tremendous job" with his victories, proving he is one of the strongest in the division [01:19]. He also considers Merab one of the strongest bantamweights in history, stating it would be foolish to underestimate him, and this fact provides him with "huge motivation" [09:50].

• Merab "Was Scared": Yan claims they were both meant to be coaches for a show in Thailand, but Merab "simply got scared and didn't come" in the end, sending Aljamain Sterling instead [04:14].

• Home-Field Advantage: In response to Merab having a busy year with four fights, Yan is not impressed, points out that all of Merab's fights took place in Las Vegas or Los Angeles. He contrasted this by noting the difficulty he faces constantly competing far away from home [03:37].

Rematch History and Future

• Confidence in Rematches: This is Yan's third career rematch (following Magomed Magomedov and Aljamain Sterling). He is confident that just like his previous rematches, he will be better in this second fight against Merab [02:25].

• Potential Trilogy: Yan believes that if he wins, Merab Dvalishvili absolutely deserves an immediate rematch, and he thinks the UFC would support putting together a "cool trilogy" [13:22].

• Future Opponents: Yan is currently focused only on the upcoming bout and has "no desire" to fight Sean O'Malley again, though he states he is ready to do his job if the UFC matchmakers offer the fight [15:05].

He is not prepared well enough for this merab, unfortunately

only thing he can hope for is that merab chokes. I think before the first fight merab said he was really nervous because of the political beef georgia has with russia... he said something like "i was so nervous of being an embarrassment to my country by losing to a Russian". or something like that.

Yan is smart in a low cunning type of way.

I'm sure he's made adjustments, but I don't think it will be enough.

That said Yan is very lowkey, so he could surprise everyone too.

Damn now sherpimp, this one's pretty sweet...

Yan is a smart fighter he might win. I hope he doesn’t though

Not sure why they removed the video from The Mac life but here’s the video if anyone wants to see the interview:

I'm curious if Yan gonna try & judo chop Merab again.

War Yan.

I hope he can at least make it more competitive.

There seems to be low levels of enthusiasm for this PPV overall.

Front page looks pretty much like what it looks like during a week without any fights.
