title says it all. literally drugged, standing around confused, shots at like 50% power. would be surprised if there isn't an announcement in the next few days about him having had covid or the flu or something. that was a whole different fighter in there last night, reminded me of the first nunes / pena fight.

As someone said in another thread, he might have PTSD from gassing so hard in the Fluffy fight. Although he gassed hard in the 3rd in this one as well.

It doesn't make sense and it really sucks and I hope this is just a one-off anomaly

Tried to get the 2nd, it was close
Wanted to really take Abus out in the 3rd

Idea: Abus has a bad gas tank
Problems: Pereira has a bad gas tank as well and got hurt at least twice in the fight

It may have been a fluke, or it could have been, like you say, the after-effects of a career-altering beatdown (maybe physical but probably mental, as he was arrogant AF and then got humbled. That really fucks with fragile guys).
