He said this in the post fight presser with Dana White. This is a bizarre thing to say following Pereira facing the 8th ranked fighter in the weight class. WTF. How on earth do you say this after only 3 title defenses? This is stuff you expect Dana to say but the MMA media has gotten so captured they are anticipating his ridiculous promotional opinion and saying it for him.

At this point, I don't care. I can think for myself. If casuals want to eat this shit up, so be it. I'm just going to appreciate Pereira's fights as they're entertaining and he's on a great run. Dana is MMA's Don King, spewing hyperbole, and Iole is an old, uneducated man with a platform he doesn't deserve. It is what it is.

Just yesterday it felt like Dana was hyping up Silva being the guy that no one has beat his opponents like that. It all comes in waves. One day someone will come along and people will say is better than Pereira. To defend Silva though, his opponents are all retired after losing a bunch of times after he beat them so they look worse than Pereira's competition.

YouTube streamer KevinLol is cool but bredda oot of his mind fam Poatan still haffi KO di Dagestani yute n run it back wif Jamahill AT LEAST 💯📠

I mean, Prime for Prime, Khalil probably beats Leben, Lutter, Marquardt, Irvin, Cote, Leites, Forrest, Bonnar.

Might have a chance against Sonnen, Okami, Maia, Franklin.

Probably loses to Hendo.

Jiri and Izzy could probably beat them all. Strickland too.

if by might have a chance against sonnen, okami, maia and franklin you mean get ragdolled by them I would agree.

I really like Alex but I hate this "goat of the month" shit. But to be honest, while I don't think his opposition is up there with Anderson, at least it's not usman levels of cringe. Defending against fucking Masvidal twice lmao, goat ww my ass.

Yeah not at all, people need to calm the fuck down, though I know Kevin is just trying to please Lord Dana by sucking him off with the weird questions.

Yeah that might have a chance is Khalil is fast and hits hard as fuck and may be able to catch those guys as they're a bit slower and deficient in striking(except franklin). lol

Hate how revisionist nonsense rewrites Silva away from greatness.

Not just murdering people but fighting through battles, moving up, basically changing the entire game.

Alex is great but this is like people comparing Lesnar to Fedor.

One did it first and did it every single time.

Both made a mark on the history of MMA but for totally different reasons, in different eras.

Alex needs a few subs to escalate to... a legacy.

You forgot about Vitor Belfort.

It's apples and oranges. Different weight class defenses. Silva never won two division belts. We can't pretend like Cote or Leites were great defenses. Time and size makes everything different

what revisionism?
This has always been an argument with Silva.

Seriously: Leben, Cote, Leites, Bonnar, Irvin or a monodimensional bjj guy like Maia are a big chunk of his resume and his claims to greatness.

Alex since his second fight in ufc has only fought champion material fighters and not the ones that used to be champion half a decade before, Rountree is the only non former champion he has fought at lhw.

Those guys you mentioned are barely even top10 in Silva's resume. Except Maia, who still remained tittle contender at WW for years until his 40s.
Was WW weak as well?

Also, Poatan himself is "monodymensionl" so what kind of criticism is that?
