Whats your take on those 2 spicy sausages?

TBH i think spanish chorizo is superior in every instance except pizza, but pizza of course is of course the GOAT foodstuff.

So im really pretty even on this one.

I like them both!! Spicy Master Race crew checking in. I love spicy stuff!

Spanish Chorizo is superior.

You eat Migas right? Tex mex style? Covered in Cheese? Served with beans and often potatoes? Corn or Flour tortilla? I view Flour as a tex mex creation and an insult to true mexican cuisine? Am I right or wrong?

What do you view as authentic Mexican food?

i like to make spaghetti and chorizo

cook the chorizo in a pan with a few seasonings/oils until it gets the consistency of marinara, then mix in the spaghetti

blows peoples minds

You dont eat pork because you are now jewish right? i dont know how anyone can give up pork willingly, kudos to your willpower. Never heard about migas though.

Fluor tortilla is northern Mexican food, here in northern Mexico we eat both, with fluor tortillas having a more traditional aspect role in our lives.

I dont think there is a cuisine out there that can be called authentic Mexican food, since this is a country of immigrants built upon the ruins of 2 ancient empires which had trade as far as south America. So it all changes depending on the region.

I tried that yesterday, there was some spaghetti leftovers, and i dont really like spaghetti without meat, so i chopped up some spanish chorizo fried it in the pan with its own fat and then added it to the spaghetti minus the fat (since the spaghetti had some reggianito) it was a really pleasant surprise.

Yeah I don't eat it. I never cared for pork anyhow. I always though Bacon was super overrated although Chorizo is the bomb and pork sausage is about the only other good thing of pork I can think of. Pork chops never did it for me I always compared it to an inferior version of beef steak. In general though, as I have said before land meat animals are super overrated to me with the one exception being

^^ Cow.

Other than that I could give up Chicken. Like I have said before if you eat things from the water, rivers, lakes, and the Ocean that opens up a world of millions of different creatures to eat. Scientist say like several million species in the ocean and like possibly 2 million fish. I can think of plenty of fishes and ocean animals that beat out chicken, pork, turkey etc. However, the one land animal that fish can't compare to is Cattle. A nice rare or medium rare steak is not something that can be done with creatures that dwell in the water.

Chorizo for me. I'll eat pepperoni, but if there is something to sub in, I will.

Its not the meat, its the fat.

The fat in pork is far superior to the fat in cow, thats why shit like filet mignon wrapped in bacon is amazing.

Authentic Mexican food to me was always explained as follows

1) Corn tortillas over flour
2) White cheese over yellow
3) Lots of pork for meat, and lots of fish that is native to the coasts of Mexico
4) Rice with every meal

In general when I have went to Mexican resturants that label themselves as 'Authentic' this is what I find. And in general the meals seem less fattening, and are more 'lean'. In Tex Mex it is traditional to use I guess, lard, tons of cheese and heavy processed meats with everything. Tex Mex is also apparently the creator of beef Quesadillas. From what I have heard Mexican cuisine is more simple.

Ever try a Molcajete?...Chorizo gang FTW!!!

Pepperoni's aren't spicy.

I have to respectably disagree. However, you are right when it comes to sausage. Turkey, and beef sausage doesn't hold up to Pork sausage.

Anyhow, on the topic of beef. There are fishes that I do prefer and would eat more regularly then cow. Eating cow (red meat) daily is a good way to get that Brock Lesnar disease or die or fuck up your arteries last I checked.

I am not a fan of mixing meats. To me the bacon would take away from the flavor of a really good steak. Although, surely some famous chefs might agree and others disagree. Bacon has a completely different taste that isn't well with beef unless they are mixed together in a sausage casing.

You want a poll added?

spanish chorizo for me. it makes lots of dishes amazingly better. on the other hand, the taste of it is so strong, that it can overpower other foods.

1) Yes, corn tortillas are more popular in most of Mexico, but fluor tortillas are also Mexican.

2) Agree on the white cheese, we call yellow cheese "americano" here.

3) Pork is more common in southern Mexico, beef is more common in northern Mexico.

4) Rice isnt necesary with every meal, unlike tortillas and beans.

You are right on the fish, there is plenty of coasts in Mexico and you can find fish dishes in almost all regions of Mexico.

I wonder about a spanish chorizo pizza, i think you would need to fry and drain the spanish chorizo otherwise the pizza would be swimming on fat.

But i dont think it would be superior to a pepperoni pizza.
