People think Nate will win the rematch? LOL

Conor didn't "get caught". Are we gonna pretend he's a master of defense who had a rare lapse? It wasn't even that hard a punch. Very accurate, as most Diaz punches, but not very powerful.

Notice how TS mentioned all these fighters getting caught yet conviniently missed Aldo.

I agree Conor got caught by a hail-Mary punch, Nate was getting his ass kicked badly before that.

I don't even care for either guy but McGregor is likely going to win.

It'll be funny seeing all the butthurt sherdoggers, it's kind of like Ronda, I don't really like her but it's funny to see her win and succeed because it makes Sherdog neckbeards/keyboard warriors become salty AF.

Like Conor, his fans set themselves up for failure, and a month long Nyquil induced depression coma. When Nate the GOAT Diaz enters the cage again their heart will be beating like a rabbit.

Conor got caught. It happens to the best of fighters. It happened to GSP, Anderson (heel hook), Stipe, Cain, Hendricks, Lawler (vs Nate), dos Anjos and many others. People are acting like that soul performance is a defining moment in the spectacular career of Conor McGregor. It's not. Nate is a person that does not rise to the occasion. In terms of choking, he is on par with Kenny Florian. He couldn't get it done in his fight with Bendo, Thompson or RDA yet "people" are acting like he is some person that can always beat one of the most clever and elusive fighters at welterweight. Conor will rematch Nate (he got the fight because the first one was a fluke victory) and this time he will put away Diaz early in the 1st. All you doubters are free to bump this thread after the fight for shaming purposes.

LONG LIVE THE KING!

Can't rise to the ocasuon? He won the biggest fight of his career

A basic 1 2 isn't a Hail Mary

Yes it is. A Hail Mary is something out of nowhere that wins you the fight/game when you were getting owned throughout.

My point is Nate didn't do anything positive in that fight except for when he caught Conor with one big punch. It can happen to anyone as TS pointed out including mediocre fighters beating GOATs like Serra clocking GSP.

Thing is we all saw what happened when GSP got the rematch, and seeing as every time Nate fights elite competition (Bendo, Rory, RDA) he gets absolutely destroyed and was by Conor as well, I'd expect Nate to be face down on the Canvas by the end of the rematch.

^^^ LOL

Conor wilted, broke, etc. Resorted to panic wrestling, and everyone, even the biggest Conor nuthugger knows it wasn't from one punch.

The problem was fighting someone who knew distance/range combined with having a competitive reach. So many of his haymakers missed for a reason. He gassed for a reason. The handful of shots that got through went up against a proven Diaz chin. Diaz made Conor look like he was a one-trick pony this whole time fighting smaller/shorter guys.

Let me guess Aldo didn't just get caught though. Thinking about it your examples are hilarious. Why didn't you list one of the longest reigning champs ever who literally did get caught by a punch seconds into a fight as just getting caught? LOL you listed "greats" who just got caught like Stipe and Lawler and not one of the longest reigning champs ever who literally did get caught by one punch unlike all those other fights you listed.

Reminds me of the funny hypocrisy the unaware fanboys had crying excues for the nate fight about short notice for connor gassing yet Chad mendes couldn't use those excuses in their fight.

You didn't watch the fight if you honestly think that.

You must have not watched. Diaz was getting lit up and landing some lame jabs. When he tried to take it to the ground he got reversed almost instantly.

Every single site has Conor winning the first round easily and winning the 2nd round until the flurry if you look at play-by-plays.

He landed a 1, 2 in the first round that knocked Conor back several feet, he landed a right hook that knocked Conor's mouthpiece loose in the first round also. The fight was much closer the entire time up until he rocked him than anyone will ever admit. To say that he did nothing positive in that fight up until he rocked Conor is a flat out lie.

Aldo didn't get caught though, that was just Conor's masterful technique. Pretty sad that you can't tell the difference

Conor edged the first round but the momentum was shifting in the second even before he hurt him. It will be interesting to see if Conor can make the adjustments. I think it will always be a competitive fight early on because Conor has a speed advantage but the smart money is on another Nate victory.

Aldo got caught too, so would you pick him in a rematch? Or does your logic only apply when it works for you?

Uh, I don't think that you know what "getting caught" means. New to MMA or something? Aldo getting caught in mere seconds by Conor is "getting caught", AKA fluke win. Not a fight. Nate wobbling Conor over and over, going into round 2, isn't getting caught, it's getting your ass whooped.
