Not completely in favor of reducing self directing investing for anyone. However, I'd like to see a push for elected officials to have bigger blind trusts that mirror where public pension plans are invested.

Side note, this shit isn't nearly as egregious as what the Trudeau government proposed with mandating public pension plans be directed to domestic sectors determined by the government

The tweet is a lie. Pelosi never became an expert investor. Those kinds of false claims are made constantly.

Although rare, it's not unheard of for people to not receive or lose their security clearance due to the actions of a close family member.

A member of Congress without a security clearance means they won't have access to information that would lead to their insider trading.
