No place is perfect (CA's main issue is insufficient housing supply) but if you have unlimited money, SF or NYC is probably where you'd want to live. And if you want to make a lot, ditto.

I understand. My dad and brother used to live in SF/Bay Area. We used to own property in NYC. I do some business in those areas. I have contacts in SF, Napa Valley, NYC, etc.

I primarily grew up in Cambridge, MA and I live here now. It's where my immediate family all lives. I'll probably stay here until my elderly parents die. The cost of living is HIGH here but it's worth it.

Cambridge is notorious for liberal/leftist politics. We also have a AAA credit rating, which we've maintained for over two decades. The median home price is $963k. The violent crime rate is low. And we have a diverse population of nearly 120k. So we're a shining example against that nonsense narrative about Democrats ruining cities.
The City of Cambridge has retained its distinction of being one of approximately 26 cities in the United States to earn AAA ratings from each of the nation's three major credit rating agencies.

the cops let them in calmly and welcomly alright! they just let them walk in there, orderly and single file, just to take a peaceful stroll through a building that was closed for visitors while congress was in session.

none of these 870+ people who were arrested for their participation in the capitol riots have dared to make that kind of argument in their legal defense. strange!!! why is that? if that was really what happened, then the insubordinate treasonist cops would all be getting hauled off to jail, and the people who went in there, peacefully and welcomly of course after peacefully beating the cops down with back the blue flags,would all be off the hook for this minor incident where hundreds of cops got assaulted.

why isn't any of the rioters being charged actually trying to make that argument? why is it only the cheerleading chuds who are using it as an excuse to try to defend their violent criminal actions? are these convicted criminals hiring attorneys who are working for the deep state and wanting to see them convicted? why arent they making this genius argument???

i mean thats the truth of what happened right? i guess their clients would rather get reemed out in jail and prison and throw the rest of their lives away and flip hamberders for the rest of their sorry lives rather than to go into a courtroom and tell what really went on that day. in that case the truth would have set them free, but nobody so far has dared to even make such a claim in court.

Conservatives are just testing the waters with how much straight up fascism they can get away with at this point. They've brainwashed enough of the chuds. First they'll start stripping womens rights, then they'll go for LGBT, then racial minorities (they are already probing with Anti-Semitism). Fox News is already making excuses for right wing domestic terrorism. Attempting to discount results of legitimate elections, their dear leader is demanding to be installed as president.

They will gaslight, strawman and whataboutism, but make no mistake.. the slippery slope towards straight up nazism is very steep and we are well on our way down.

I lived through the most violent time in our nation's history, the 1980s and '90s. It's not nearly as bad now as it was then. People have rose-tinted glasses and think everything was idyllic back then. It wasn't. Life is simply safer and more convenient now. You can get whatever you want at the click of a button...

PS - I live in one of the most liberal/leftist areas of the US and things are great here. I don't live in California. I think that place has issues that go WAY beyond partisan politics... Not every Democrat leaning place is a shit hole. Some, like where I live, are truly great. January 20,1981-January 20, 1993, when crime peaked, was when we had 12 straight years of right-wing Republican rule. Democrat Bill Clinton oversaw safe and peaceful times and gave us a surplus instead of a deficit for once!

They weren't there to take over the government. They were sent there to disrupt the certification and that's exactly what they did. It was an irrelevant question from a guy that probably hasn't paid any attention at all to the 1/6 Committee hearings.
