Not in this day and age, no. Revolutions were usually the result of tyranny. There's nothing in modern day America that amounts to that, despite hyperbolic language claiming so. As a modern society, we should be way past violence against our politicians. Vote them out, hold them accountable, etc. But breaking into their home and assaulting them? Absolutely not okay. What's the basis for thinking generally that crime is high there? Seems like people just want it to be high to suit a narrative rather than people concluding that it's high based on evidence.



Yeah, but again, it's not 100% of the homeless who don't have jobs. And it's hard to get and keep a job if you're homeless in the first place. Fixing the housing shortage/affordability crisis would reduce the numbers, and then you can have other solutions to the remaining. Note that in general, there is a strong correlation between housing costs and change in housing costs and homelessness rates and change in homelessness rates. Most places in the country (cities and otherwise) have higher poverty rates than SF and higher unemployment rates but lower homelessness rates.

They said that since she was not in town the extra security was not. You would think though for someone in such a high position, that there would always be, but who knows.
