And here I thought the soap opera was near death as a genre.

Its been pretty entertaining to watch & unsuspecting. A bit disappointing in some of the stuff she spouts now. But I'm glad she stood up and pushes back against some of the extreme stuff that goes too far.

Anna has had one of the more interesting arcs from being a hardcore leftist zealot to an independent I have seen.

Her reasoning is sound, and her critics discount the effect a tramatic experience, an almost violent encounter, can have on a woman's psyche.

I'm doubt she'll go full right-winger, and I don't want her to. It'd mirror what she accused Dave Rubin of doing, selling out to the 'right-wing billionaires.' She's more valuable as a mediator of truth from the center, an independent calling balls & strikes of both sides.

And isn't that what we're all looking for? Truth?

Anyway, if you fundamentally disagree with her still, at least give her the respect for 'debating' Ben Shapiro... which ended up being an interesting discussion & conversation of opposing viewpoints. That is far more interesting than one side trying to 'own' the other.

I think both formats get nowhere & can be dangerous depending on what some value.

You must be responding to someone else. I don't fundamentally disagree with her. Two people have told me that Anna has gone right wing and I just don't think that's accurate. You seem to agree by saying she's more of an independent and I have no issue with that. One person recently tried to cast her as being of similar ilk to the grifters who lose their lane on the left and then just choose right-wing politics to make money with.

I was speaking in general, not to anyone in particular.

Her former left-wing audience automatically are attrmpting to 'other' her... banish her from their clan. While I have heard her explain herself in her own words on TYT, and on the Shapiro debate and interview.

Its been a gradual evolution for her over many years, not a 'I spoke with a rich person who offered me money so now I'm a right-winger' situation.

People grow more wise and experienced.
Typically happens with people as they grow older, but not for idealogical zealots.

She's clearly not a leftist anymore, but she's also not a right winger.

She wasn't in the primary process. She was picked in some shady meeting. Then she was given 3 months while Trump had been campaigning for 4 years.

Her only policy was that she was not Trump.

Obama trying to shame Black men. Biden calling people garbage.

They picked some goof as her VP instead of trying to unite the left and undecideds and asking Bernie to run with her.

And she finished with a miserable showing in the 2020 primary.

There's a whole subset of discussions going on in Europe as to why it's impossible to have an intelligent conversation on the trans issue in America. You are just demonstrating half of why that is. The other half is Christian religious bigotry.

Edit: also, my strongest opinion about trans people is they're mostly none of my bloody business and it's something to be dealt with between a patient and a doctor. I invite you to demonstrate what's wrong with that if you can.

Saw a video posted of Joe Rogan of how left-wing he was just until the last 4+ years. Previously the only right-wing issues he embraced were guns & hunting. How he's endorced Trump and became a right-winger... or is it more likely due to the huge influence of his podcast he convinced the right-wing to be more like him? And only a few issues did he become more right-wing?


My point is, we're all going though an evolution as people living on this crazy planet. Trump just won a 2nd term... the 2nd president to ever serve two terms non-congruently. 3 years ago I thought there was no way in hell that is a possibility.

The military industrial complex is a group of corporations related to arms manufacturing.. which are traded in the stock market. How do you think politicians are making tens of millions every year? No chance of banning insider trading for lawmakers.

And BigPharma getting tens of billions for the Covid vaccine that was nearly complete bullshit... and that doesn't count how Americans pay a premium for our medicine while the rest of the world gets a severe discount.

I'm right about the fact that you are demonstrating why it's impossible to have an intelligent conversation in the states about this issue. You're just being a c*** and your emotional and you know you're being a c*** and emotional.

This is one of those topics where to engage in it both people must have a basic command of the facts and issues.... You don't have the basic facts to even have an intelligent conversation and you've already demonstrated. You don't want to go read up on them. You don't even know what the basic issues are that need discussing.

Which is the exact criticism in Europe of people in the states on this issue.
On the right, there's religious Christian bigotry and on the left is a knee-jerk emotional reaction based on that that is closed-minded and doesn't want to learn.
