Who is Russia to decide who will enter NATO and who won't? Fuck Putin and his opinion on world issues - he is a dictator that amassed huge wealth by changing the constitution so he can rule for life and take all of the money from public companies.

What conserquences, you as an american, had to suffer cause of Ukraine trying to get into NATO exactly?

The only ones under any consequences are Ukraininas living in a war torn country (not even torn, but leveled to pieces), and Russian public living in a deteriorating war economy.

If the majority of Ukrainians feel that losing 1/5 or 1/4-ish of their territory, ruining the rest of their country economically for generations, not to mention losing millions of citizens, especially young men, just to join NATO, then all the power to them. I'm clearly talking about Ukraine's consequences here.

1) And why did Ukraine want to join NATO? Could it be cause of the land grab by Russia? Could it be cause of all of the election interfering Russia has been doing in Ukraine for the past 20 years?

3) Yes, in a war you are destined to lose a bunch of citizens - Russia is losing them cause Putin wants to expand Russia at all costs (and restore "former russian empire") and Ukraine is losing them trying to defend what is rightfully theirs - their motherland.
