Guys like Pudzianowski are pretty rare and yet he still weighed 320 pounds during his strongman career. A heavier/bigger dude that trains similarly to a smaller guy is going to lift more than the smaller guy. It’s not that complicated.
In b4 powerlifting fans tell us how he is not that strong.

Lockjaw clamps around 6 oz each. or less than a pound for the pairmuch clearer image than I saw in the vid
What about the little weight with clasp? Those probably make it 300
So whats the science on how extra fat, that literally puts you in the obese category, can make your muscles lift more? Your fat got muscles in them now? For every obese lifter you can find one that isn't obese. That isn't true. The biggest benchers in the world have very high bodyfat. I am not saying they don't have muscle either. A trunk also shortens the range of motion for the bench. You need to be heavy to support that weight. Go look at the biggest benchers in the world. They are fat dudes. Jimmy Kolb is like 5'7 and more than 300 lbs. Maddox is like 400-450 lbs. Rae-Ann is an obese lady.
Being lean isn't optimal for heavy lifting unless you are within a weight class. There are some outliers but they are definitely not the norm.

You keep bringing up the obese aspect of it. You could have a 350 pound 4% body fat person but that’s not likely even in professional athletes. Bigger people just have more mass period and not all of it is fat. This is helpful for powerlifting. Some people are genetic freaks that don’t gain any fat but most people don’t fall into that. Being bigger also shortens your range of motion particularly on the bench. There’s a reason Olympic weightlifting has weight classes. Surprise surprise the higher bodyweights lift more weight.Being obese don't make you lift more.
I just named 3 people that hold the current bench record. How many non obese people on that list? Let me bring up the past 5 world record holders for biggest bench press. So whats the science on how extra fat, that literally puts you in the obese category, can make your muscles lift more? That's why CrossFit loves them. This vid has me wanting some bumper plates though, damn things LOOK heavier than their Olympic iron counterparts lol, the 10s look like my iron 45s lol

Equipped
Jimmy Kolb- high body fat
Bill Gillespie- high body fat
Tiny Meeker- high body fat
Ryan Kennelly- high body fat
Will Barotti-high body fat
Raw
Julius Maddox- high body fat
Kirill Sarychev- high body fat when he broke the record
Eric Spoto- Guess what? high body fat
Scott Mendelson-Again you don't see a trend?
James Henderson- Oh no what a coincidence. Another high body fat guy
You can look at the strength sports. Mass moves mass.
295 isn't elite, but you don't get there playing, even if you are 200+ lbs. Also he probably don't lift weights seriously
Fat don't lift weights. Its muscle. But for those guys, its 99% the roids. Another trustabro science expo by you. Bc homegurl was making the point that obesity helps you lift more. I'm saying the muscle is what makes them lift more not the excess fat which homegurl is saying. It don't matter what you are, but say you bench x lbs at 8% body fat. Coming in at 30% body fat with the same exact muscle mass isn't going to make you lift more. That is homegurls whole premise, that the extra fat will make you lift more even with the exact same muscle mass. You keep bringing up the obese aspect of it. It's not that the fat help, it's that the diet restrictions needed to be very lean are not optimal for pure strength.
There is a reason strongmen aren't shredded.
You must be a BJ black belt with a neck that strong.
I never said those people don't have muscle. They have very high bodyfat percentage. You can see people prepping to break bench records. Guess what? They get "fat". Most people are going to struggle to continue to put on muscle without adding fat hence the “obese” power lifters. It’s a trade off. Fat isn’t the most effective way to get strong, you’re right. But at the same time an untrained 280 pound overweight 14 year old is going to be able to bench a ton more than a untrained 130 pound string bean 14 year old just based on having the added mass.Bc homegurl was making the point that obesity helps you lift more.
