Aside from being able to capture the homo-erotic imaginations of sherdog, has Costa ever shown much in the way of real top-flight fighting ability (either in terms of raw ability or refined skill)? I've only ever seen him gradually overwhelm an overweight and shot Johny Hendricks who he had a massive size advantage against. Any reason to believe that he's a genuinely good prospect, and not just a half-decent fighter whose real notable asset is his marketability in Brazil?

Not really. He's proven to be more consistent than Erick Silva (whatever that says) but I think it's more people hoping his performances eventually start lining up with his physique, Ubereem style.
